Category Page VS Product Page

Hey All,

Much thanks to the members of the warrior forum that have explained that action is the key to starting out internet marketing.

I have found a profitable product on clickbank, and I'm going to start promoting it. I've been an SEO Freelancer for quite some time, so I know exactly how KW research, traffic volume, profitable KW's and appropriate competition are major factors when starting anything.

  • However, my question is: Should I start with create a site on the category or the product?

For example: "Famous Paintings" VS "Mona Lisa"

I'm worried about people finding my site, getting ready to buy, so they search the product, they then click on the link of someone else - get a new cookie, and I lost my time and money getting them to click on my original link.

is it possible that I should be targeting BOTH the product review page AND the category? Or is that madness? Is there a search volume that would be acceptable to center around the product? Any other questions you have for me?

I thank you for any insight you guys have - mucho appreciated, - Your words will not fall on deaf ears - Your advice will definitely dictate my next steps.
Cheers!

    Hey James,

Definitely build the website around the niche market.

    Build an authority type website.

This will give you a lot more room to scale.

You can then do several product reviews to take
    out the actual products.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response - what about the fear that - after you recommend the product, they jump to Google and give the product a search...thus nullifying your original cookie?

      Hey James,

This is the same for every product everywhere.

This is where your skill as a marketer comes in.

You have to make your offer unique and extremely valuable.

A powerful technique is to offer a bonus.

Offer a perfect companion bonus that is so valuable to them
that they couldn't possible go anywhere else.
