Question For Site/Blog Flippers

How do you structure your optin list for a site/blog you are going to flip?

I understand that a list of subcribers would add value to your site when it is flipped. If you use Aweber or other double opt-in it would be impossible to also sell the list.

The only soulution I know is to use the self hosted php scripts.

    You can use aweber. They will let you transfer autoresponders to someone else at aweber, you just have to tell them it's part of a business sale/transfer. I've done it before.

    Or, assuming your blog is WordPress based, you can use the "WP Opt-In" plugin (as seen on my blog - link in signature). It will keep your opt-in list as part of your SQL database, and you can just transfer it with the blog when you sell it.

    So aweber doesn't cause problems when doing this? like subs have to resubscribe?

    Use the G-Lock Double Optin PLUGIN for wordpress.

    It's available at : WordPress Double Opt-In Manager Widget | G-Lock EasyMail

    You can export the email list by csv (Comma Seperated Values) and then import it to the new buyers' list. The data will be as is.
