Anyone Tried "Done For You" List Building

I've seen a few of these D4Y list building services offered here and on other forums. Does anyone have any experience with these services?

Obviously it looks like a good offer on the surface because I'm new to list building and a D4Y list would give me something to market to. But I'm also kind of hesitant about it because if I build my own list then I have full control over the squeeze page, the offer, solo ads, etc.

So any good or bad experiences? Any you would recommend?
Thanks!

  • Yea I'd advise that you do it yourself. That way you are building a relationship with them yourself and not relying on someone else to do it. It's all about the relationship when it comes to the list in my opinion.

    • I agree... Building a personal relationship to your list is priceless.
    • I agree... Building a relationship to your list is priceless. Plus you get to experience it personally and can have a bigger picture.
  • I've seen the same and i'd also like to know the answer here
  • I'm all for you owning your own squeeze page and doing your own followup.

    However, I found this here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...list-free.html

And if you are willing to have a pop up come on your site with other similar offers they can check, then your offer will pop up on the other members sites so it increases your targeted traffic (assuming the other members are getting targeted traffic).

However, if you are using aweber, even if you have the double opt in turned off, these people will still have to double opt in which decreases sign ups by up to half who don't do it.

I have spoken to aweber and they will not change this because it is from a third party and require the double opt in.

I have also spoken to the owner and he said they would be looking into it from their end.

You can always try this and turn it off at any time if it does not suit you.

I personally would not ever build a list where they are not seeing my own squeeze page.

    I hope that helps you.

    • Yes I have the same issue I use single option so all the leads I get from the link below at listcrew they are all stuck at the confirmation so it seems if you do use single optin it doesnt work on this.

  • Only ever used one from million dollar network. Was disappointing.

MDN is about 80 percent spam.
  • I would also recommended that you do it yourself, plus your gonna have to learn how to do it anyway eventually right? so why not start off right.
  • Really depends on what service you choose.

A service that is in the business of building generic list is not going to do you a lot of good but a business that tailors a list campaign to you can be a real asset.
  • Really why would you go for this. Get the job done yourself. Its more rewarding, entertaining and profitable.

And you get to know you're actually building a real list, not junk.
  • So the general consensus is to just do it myself. That's good it's what I was leaning towards anyway. I was just wondering if anyone had a good experience with these services.
Thanks everybody! Now back to work on my squeeze pages...
  • No. I wouldn't. List building is something you should learn for yourself.

  • I Totally agree, building your own list is the best way, I have used list building companies when I first started and to be honest the list was just rubbish. So my advise would be build your own, you then have full control.
    Good Luck..
  • mmm My best advice would be to just build it by yourself... the experience you will earn working on it will be huge, and as said above, you build a relationship, a real relationship with your subscribers.
  • Building your list yourself is the way. Find a couple of good solo ad providers (you can find them right here on the classifieds section forum, plus I remember a wso for private sky group contacts, just don't remember the name).

Plus another good tactic is to let other affiliates build it for you. To do this, you will need to create a valuable free report on your topic, sell it for $7-$9.95 with 100% commission. You are not going to make money on the first sale, but you will have a list of people who actually buy things online.

    • Getting it done for you often results in getting it done to you.

  • for a long term, try to learn it by yourself and setup your own funnel.
you will know in your learning progress. You can even have your own style of list building.
  • Not sure if you're still looking for something but SendKlick seems promising! (y)
  • SendKlick actually solved that problem :0)
  • At least if you build your list yourself the subs will be in your autoresponder and not on the person who built your list's autoresponder aswell.

Best way to learn is by doing, although outsourcing does help, its best to get a feel for what you're doing.
  • List building is something like smsing the girl you love. If you gonna get someone to do that for you can you just imagine how will you communicate to her when you are on date with her. So my advice would be just try it yourself instead of using other people message. Instead of finding a list building service rather you find a good course that teaches you how to build an relationship with your list. This skill is really very useful as it would actually make you better in a long run when you know how to write a very good email message.
