Best Wordpress Theme for A Personal Blog

I'm new to IM and I'm setting up my own personal website. Just hoping for some advice on what's the best wordpress theme to use for it.

    Best theme is the one you'll like the best. There is a lot of free themes, just google:

    "free wordpress themes"

    or check out those from wordpress.org

    I usually use the free flexibility theme. You can customize it the way you want but if you are new and don't know much about editing themes then you can do a search for free wordpress themes and just see which one you like. I also like that iblog theme. It's a simple white and silver theme.

    You would probably want a stylish & fashionable theme since it's personal and the scope of interest is sourced by only one person (you) whereas websites such as mine however caters to different individuals who are in control of some aspects of the website so it has to be simple, clean and effective. This is a fundamental ability of observation a web designer has to acquire - to determine what appropriate layout and aesthetics to embed onto a website.

    Final note - look for a stylish and 'eye' catching theme designs unless of course it doesn't fit to the topic you wish to broadcast.

    There are so many themes it impossible to say which is best. Find one you like and then personalize it with your own header graphic and/or footer graphics plus you can change various colors. We prefer a 3 column theme as they are easy to monetize.

    There is no best Wordpress theme. There's a million of them and the best one is the one you like the best. I use Woo Themes a lot but there are many themes to choose from.

    A very common feature that is popular now are themes that include a slider/accordion type slideshow featuring content or images. May be something you might like. Browse around on Themeforest.com and you can find some pretty amazing themes for cheap.
    Otherwise, you can just find a free and simple theme and then add TheThe Fly plugins as they are pretty cool and straightforward.

    You say it's a personal blog. The Twenty 11 theme that comes with WP is good enough. Very customizable and easy to work with. People constantly overlook it because it comes stock.

    People also get stuck on the whole theme issue. Pick something you like and get to writing. You'll be better for it.
