List marketers and websites?

If you are a list marketer do you also own a website or do you operate solely off of email? Thanks.

    I believe that most people who are involved in marketing to people through email also have a site which is used to encourage people to opt-in to their list. Of course there are some who simply buy lists online and market that way but it appears that the conversion/response rate is much better when you're offering products/services to individuals who voluntarily joined your list.

    Most people have their own websites so that you can be seen as an expert.

    There are many other benefits, for instance, you can offer free downloands to your site visitors and share your recommendations of products (e.g. Clickbank ebooks) with them at the same time (and make some sales while in the process of building your list for your email markeing).

    It is a plus if you do some SEO for your website and make your site rank well in the big G, big Y and Bing.

    Also, try to make people WANT to click of your signup link and affiliate links.

    some do just work out of emails and send you to pages and videos now and again if they have anything to tell you or show you but generally you will always be best off having some kind of a site where you can build a brand and some authority in your niche

    there are a lot more benefits to having a site as well as building a list rather than just building your business via email because blogs can build more trust and your also going to be getting a lot more free traffic by having something live

    It is much better (albeit more work) to have your blog and update it regularly than
    operate solely on your list.

    Having a blog gives you much more freedom and opportunities. You inform your list
    about every new blog post and gain a boost in traffic AND have quality content to
    send your subscribers.

    Squeeze pages don't rank well in search engines, so you can rank your blog and get
    traffic from there. By including opt-in forms on every page on your blog you get more
    subscribers from search engines.

    It creates new opportunities for JVs and forming relationships with other bloggers,
    you can also do guest posting etc.

    we capture the name and email from a website so you really can't build a list without a squeeze page..Maybe I'm being too literal ..The answer is yes I have review blogs that have optin on them and CPA websites with no optin but If I was smart I would have the option with a good call to action on all of my sites
