Drinking beer, listening to music and making money... Who new working online would be so much fun!

Seriously

It's 3am, I'm sitting in front of my PC drinking a chilled bottle of Corona while working.

Being self-employed and working online kicks a$$

3 years of working my butt off to get to this point, but I don't regret one moment!

How long has it taken you to reach a stage when you could look back on what you've accomplished online and say "I made the right decision!"?

I say - "I made the right decision" almost daily to myself after witnessing majority of my friends and family whining about their day jobs. And, I never had a job, I was so scared of having one that I worked my ass off to get something up and running online.

Thinking the same thing - the last two weeks I've been working at an Ocean Front Condo, watching the dolphins - spending a couple of hours keeping up with my online businesses, rest of the day has been swimming, deep sea fishing, sialing on a catamaran, and Paddleboarding.

    Nice!

The first 12 months are definitely the hardest, but then again, the first 12 months of running any kind of business yourself is difficult, especially if you are the only income earner in your household

God the first year was hard... playing "which bill gets paid today" every time I made any money :p

Just thought I would comment on the Warrior Forum since I know a lot of people just starting out get really disheartened in their first few months of marketing since they don't see much in the way of results. Especially when often the "success stories" they hear are from people claiming they make millions, live in mansions and drive sports cars...

While I'm sure that is true for some internet marketers - none of them got to that stage quickly, and for those that claim they did... well, it really does not cost much to hire a sports car for a day and have a video taken outside of someone elses home... (and yes, some marketers do that - what is really funny is when you recognize the house and know the real owner!)

To really succeed at anything at life you need perseverance. It takes a lot of trial and error to find what will work best for you, and there is NOT ONE successful person I know in this business that has not failed at some stage. You just pull yourself up by the boot straps and keep trying until you get it right

Leaving my well paying day job was terrifying, and scaling back to an income that I had not had to get by on for over 15 years was damn hard.

Last month I finally reached the point where I now make more money per month than I did in my old day job. The big difference is:
        - I LOVE what I'm doing. Every morning I wake up happy to work.
        - I work whatever hours I wish
        - It's great to see effort actually rewarded (the more work I put in, the more money I make)
        - NO BOSS and no office politics!
        - Because I have spent a few hours every week setting up long term passive income streams, while they made little money in the first year, now it is all starting to add up. I love getting royalty checks now for Kindle books I wrote nearly 3 years ago!

This game definitely is not for everyone. The amount of self discipline required is massive, and if you are not insanely organized you can drown quickly. But if you are sick of working your ass off in a day job while the person sitting at a desk next to you 'pretending' to work is getting paid exactly the same amount as you then internet marketing is a good way to go

I will never be a millionaire. No because it can't be done, but because my goal has always been to reach the point where I earn a comfortable income, and then anything I make above that I tend to spend, give away or donate to charity.

The secret of becoming a millionaire is to make money but NOT spend it. I do personally know some people that fall into the category of 'millionaires'. They are all the tightest penny pinchers you will ever meet. One of them lives in a $4 million mansion but bitches every time their cleaner puts their rate up by $1 per hour...

If you ever need a hand, it is more likely that the poorest person you know will give you the shirt off their back than you getting anything from the richest person you know

Who was under the desk Brian?

Or did you just leave the house with no trousers on that day?

I have a faulty off switch. A real problem with shutting down mentally.

I can't get comfortable. As soon as I get one profit stream working and handed off it's on to the next one on the list. It's not just online either.

We were spending a couple of weeks on the old Tampa Bay a few years back and while everyone was doing the fun and sun dance, I was in the gift shops either looking for items I could have the store owner drop ship or setting up a deal for a website, hosting, and promotion package when I got home. Wife was glowing proud of that.

My saving Grace is the fact I can finish one project before jumping on the next but as soon as the project is completed ... it's on to the races.

I know I need to slow down but .. I made a goal of $100,000 a month by 2013 and that is hard to do with setting up one product and letting it play out before starting another one or relying on just one or two income streams. Not saying they are not several on here that can do it with just one.

After reading The Power of Positive Thinking, I decided to start saying, "Every time I turn around, I get a check in the mail!" After about two weeks, it started happening. Maybe not always in the mail, but I'd get an online order, or a travel assignment, or a contract, and now, about 4 days out of 6, every time I open my email or the mailbox, I'm getting paid. Last tally: 17 revenue streams with 4 of them being passive. Who needs 9 to 5??

Hey, that's great. Keep plugin away my friend. This internet thing is real.

You can make millions online. But, not without hard work. You want to make millions get ready to work hard.

It's worth it. Just last month, my mom, dad, friends, it seems like everyone was telling to stop working for myself.

I was smart. I need to get a job. Little did they realize it's because I'm smart I work for myself, no rat race for me, it's just not an option. The only option massive success..

I keep working knowing it's going to work. Knowing I will break though, knowing even if you don't see any results yet, you will my friend, you will

Too all Entrepreneurs here keep your head up. Keep working you will see results.

It is a law of the land, if you work hard you will eat, it's inevitable like death and taxes..

Exact figures don't really help much since everyone has different lifestyles and living expenses.

If you made $20,000 per year, lived at home and had no bills then that would be a nice income.

If you made the same amount as the sole income earner for your 6 kids then that amount would be too low (depending on which country you are in).

My view on "great income" is a steady income that allows you to pay all of your bills, maintain the lifestyle you want, and every now and again splurge on buying 'stuff' that you want but don't need
