I am new to internet marketing. What are the most fundamental skills to establishing a profitable internet business as an affiliate?

    - Understanding browsing pattern of the internet users.
    - The first step would reval that it all points towards search engine oriented browsing
    - Then laying your hands on learning what are keywords and their asssociation with SEO viz: search engine optimisation
    - Learn bum marketing
    - Try adwords
    - Create blogs
    Start with these steps.

    Stick to a technique and keep on doing it until it works. If you over-analyze things you will get into a bad habit.

    Find a trustworthy source with a spesific technique, start working, and tweak when you find something that works. If you keep on working with a technique, you WILL get better at it, and it will work some time.

    When it works, analyze what made it work, and focus on that. Eventually, you will find your own technique, as well as you will be great at one thing. Then keep on doing it while you learn new things along the way.

    Hanging around here for a while in the beginning is also a smart thing to do. Great info is often free, and especially here.

    And always read reviews here before you purchase any learning material.
