Emails bouncing from aweber - gmail vs domain email

Hi Guys

As we all know, a lot of emails are going into spam folders when sending from autoresponders. Gmail accounts seem to be the main ones that put mail into spam. Up to now, I've been using a gmail account as my 'send from' email within aweber's list settings. So, as it's frrom gmail TO gmail, you'd might think this would be better?

My question is, do you find that having your emails sent from your domain name email is better and reduces spam capture e.g phil@whatevernichedomaindotcom

Cheers
Phil

    Dear Phil,
Emails from domain name make a difference. They let your reader know that you've an identity, where he can get to know more about what you are into, how he can gain from you, what you're mailing him about and more.

And that'd also make a difference when he sorts from the which mails to read & which to just spam out.

Also, Phil, to make your mails make a difference, your SUBJECT TITLE must be good.
Getting realistic, the reader's only 1 sec/less to decide which mail to open.
In that small time, your TITLE makes a HUGE difference.

If you're not in a position to get a domain, not a probs. Make sure your message TITLE stands out.

    All the best

      Hey Ravi

Thanks for your reply. My question is more around the email going into the spam folder automatically, opposed to people not readind/opening the email. Thanks all the same though.

    Hey Phil,

Well I would never use a gmail address as the 'send from' setting inside Aweber.

If I'm receiving constant updates from some guy's gmail address, I won't even hesitate in reading the content, I'll go straight to mark it as SPAM.

Now if your domain name is in good health (meaning that not a lot of people have marked your mails as spam inside Gmail) there shouldn't be any problem for your e-mails to reach the inbox of your subscribers.

If you don't get any high spam detection inside Aweber when you have finished writing your campaigns and the headlines are not spammy, I believe you'll be just fine.

This is only my opinion, hope it helps! ;-)
