last time they did a something like this that didn't actually do the promotion because they didn't get enough RT's :-(
Last time I looked at this one had under 1000 RT's

BTW you have to tweet a specific tweet, as directed by @Namecheap

      They are tricky.

Last time they also later added you had to have a FB page and like them.

Few days left until the 16th, I doubt if the promo pushes through.

It's looking more possible now. They dropped the tweet threshold from 30,000 to 15,000.

Register.com has $0.99 .com/.net/.org domain registrations. Its a good option if you're not looking to renew the domains after first year.

btw, Namecheap is amazing and is my fav registrar. Free whoisguard and instant domain propagation is a bliss. Few months back they run a similar contest for facebook likes and offered discounted domains

I posted the above quote into another thread about an hour ago, but it bears repeating here for anyone who's thinking (like I did) that you can stock up on domain names on Monday.

Love namecheap, but I dunno about this going through. Also, it's only one domain per person which doesn't help me and my domain addiction

There always seems to be some $0.99 domain promotion.

My hosting domain list is getting way to long! It's too tempting

    Lets do this!
If I can get renewals for .99..... damn. :-)

Anyone got a link to where they are keeping track of all this?

It only open for 24 hours . I need to be know when is the exact day and time so would not miss out .
The numbers of tweet is still far from 30,000 tweets. I wonder how long would it take for the 30k tweets.

It is only for one year, right? You're probably better off sniping exact match domain names and paying a little bit more for them at sites that list expired domains with page rank for free. Worth the extra time and hassle. Not 99 cents but has a higher chance of making you serious coin down the road. I don't mean to be negative-just focused on the Big Picture.

    Stop the presses!

Namecheap just lowered the total number of tweets from 30,000 to 15,000 by July 16 to get the $.98 domains. Right now the total is 9704. I'm looking to completely leave GD and transfer all my domains in one fell swoop.
