Question From An Amazon Newbie

Hi everyone, just wanted to ask a question about promoting Amazon, I know that there is plenty of Amazon affiliates here. I am totally new to mainstream affiliate marketing, I usually work with adult sponsors, just wanted a change really, and see how I can get on with mainstream. I chose Amazon, as it is a popular site. Anyway, just wanted to have more of an understanding about the AWS Keys and AWS Secret Keys. Can the same keys be used to promote different countries, for example, .co.uk, .com, etc, etc?? From what I can make out at the moment, it seems that those keys are purely for grabbing the products to add to your site, and it is only the Associate ID/Tracking ID that really matters, and needs to be different for each country that you want to promote. Just wanted to clarify with more experienced Amazon affiliates that I am understanding things correctly, don't really want to start promoting them and not get paid if I am doing something wrong, lol.

    Each country has it's own program so you will need register for each program individually.

    Unless you are utilizing the API to pull up products, you don't need the AWS stuff (associate ID will suffice).

    Thanks for the reply wolfmmiii. I have already registered with both UK and US Amazon, and know that they are classed as different programs. I do need the API, as I am using WP Zon Builder, but the reason I got confused over that is because of the site that I need to sign up for the AWS. When I first registered with Amazon Uk, and then signed up for AWS, I was redirected to .com, where I got the keys. Then when I registered with Amazon US, and tried to get the AWS keys, I got a different set of keys. Just a bit more confusing compared to what I am used to really, with adult stuff, it's just register, and get your promo tools, job done. So, with the AWS keys, are they also separate for each country?
