When you think of eBooks, who are the leaders/experts/authorities you think of?

I'm looking to interview some for a project

    An ebook is only as good as its content! thats a very hard question to answer as I've bought ebooks written by some top names that have been poor, and the only reason they are top names is because they have produced alot of them and marketed them well! on the other end of the spectrum, most of the really good ones I have bought have been authored by complete unknowns!

    John Locke came to mind but I havent read any of his books, but again you make a valid point - good author or good marketer?
