it depends on your time frame...but i would say the quickest would be solo ads, quality might not be up to par, but it depends on the list it will be marketed to and what the swipe copy says.

Create a product or guide, then create a squeeze page.

Promote that link on your signature on here for starters.

Then use solo ads to build up a small list of say 1000, then do some ad swaps.

Create a Facebook page, and create an application in a html frame with another opt-in and do some Facebook marketing by commenting on other walls and post your link.

Create a Facebook ad campaign promoting that App.

There are loads of ways, but its like a snowball. You have to start it off and then watch it grow quickly.

This is a time vs. money proposition. The fastest way to build a list is through paid traffic and through paid email adverts. The cheapest way is to create a squeeze page and signup to every forum in your niche and put the squeeze page link in your signature. Then, contribute and add value to those communities and you'll build a list naturally.

look, your focus should not be the size but the quality and the relationship you have with them.

but, if you want to build a quality email list, I would suggest you to use SOLO ADS & blog commenting, believe it or not but blog commenting is very powerful and it's free

oh we do use PPV to build a list, but I wouldn't suggest that as a begginer, especially if you don't understand the meaning of building a list yet.

a word of warning though, it will require testing.

I would suggest Solo Ads for quick results. But make sure you have a perfect sales funnel that converts and treat your list as real human beings not as ATM machines.

I'm not sure, but whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be a way I'd want to build a list, myself.

In 8 different, unrelated niches over nearly 4 years, now, one thing I've learned repeatedly is that quality, relevance and accurate targeting are everything in list-building. Fast approaches to large numbers are far less valuable.

Even just from split-testing various squeeze pages, I've always found that smaller, slower, more highly targeted lists seem to produce significantly more income in the long run.

As in so many other aspects of internet marketing, measuring by "numbers of people" and "speed" tends to produce the opposite results and conclusions from measuring by money in the bank.

Just want to share base on my experience also, if your target niche is internet marketing and SEO. And you're giving away a product, many of those who are going to download your product will use an email that they are not checking or reading messages. They created this emails for the purpose of getting freebies given by other internet marketers.

that being said, the most important part of building a list is the free information or offer which you give away to build your list

if it`s very high quality then you stand much more of a chance of your subscribers wanting

of course it does take a while to build trust etc with your subscribers so that they buy your stuff but giving away killer free info will fast track this process by about 500%

it is possible to build a list fast but by no means should you forget all other principles when doing so otherwise your just sacrificing speed for quality and your list will be worthless

The fastest way would be with JVs and Solo Ads.

PPC via Microsoft Adcenter can work. They accept squeeze pages - without the popup/hover ad.

For sure the fastest way to do it would be solo ads,do a JV with someone who has a big list already otherwise it will take you money and time ..

It is important to build a big list as fast as possible.

But it's also important to know that there's going to be a return on the time/money investment. Might be worth trying any of the above methods but testing them first on smaller amounts at a time before spending a ton of money on something you can't profit from.

A bit like MrMonetize said about PPV.

Someone like Traffic Vance want $1000 to get started and if you can't get it to convert... that's a mistake you only make once

I would start with Solo Ads and build a list to 200 or so, then do some ad swaps, a JV giveaway and when you get more progressed go into PPV and the other more complex list building techniques. Your first step is to write some powerful giveaway content, in a video or PDF so that you can get subscribers onto your list for a bribe. You can also add the link to your opt in page in your signature in forums in the niche you want to work in. Then go out a start commenting. The speed will depend on the budget you have to build the list.
