A few questions for people sending out plain emails

These questions are aimed at people who send out emails with no banners, no images (except the ones that are necessary, such as images depicting the building process of a cage, for example), in short: plain vanilla emails.

Here the are:

Do you wrap the lines of the emails?
Do you bold the hyperlinks?
Do you make heavy use of bold, italic or underline text formatting options?
Do you bold (or make more remarkable) headers and sub-headers?

Thank you.

    Hi there,

I tend to wrap the lines of the email to the size suggested by Aweber. I leave the hyperlinks blank and don't tend to use any formatting. I have found that with all the different email clients / smartphones people use anything can mess up the look of your email way to easily.

I personally prefer to receive just plain old text emails and rarely open anything with pictures in it as it is technically a security risk for my computer (that's the techie in me). However, I think if you use the formatting sensibly so that it looks good then you should be ok!

    Cheers

    Jason

Of course, I'm moving more towards HTML emails now (I like GetResponse's templates to play with); but that's how I've done things with plain emails.
