I think the most difficult part is
    - being able to outlast time

I started the IM biz by attending a workshop where a so call IM Guru taught newbies how to make money online. On average there are 50+ in a batch. On average only less than 5 continue to actively be in the biz after 3 months. The rest just gave up when they dont cut it. It happens to every batches.

Most people who tried their hands on IM gave up after a few months when they realised that the money don't come in as fast or as easily.

I Think The Most Hardest Part Is Getting Initial Sales.. Once you have interested leads and buyers, everything else works for itself.. This What I Believe..

The hardest part for me is knowing precisely where to start. A forum such as this one is so huge that it's easy for a newcomer to become overwhelmed.

Qualified traffic generation. (I know a subtle difference.)

You can generate tons of traffic through many sources, but unless that traffic is qualified buying traffic you're just wasting your time. You might get the occasional sale, but not the volume you want.

For me , not knowing where to start and what to do was a serious problem when I was starting out.

I love maths, especially when comes to money. So cashflow is seldom a problem to me.

I don't understand designing but I can easily outsource to friends who are good at it, problem solved.

I won't consider myself a "traffic" guru.. but fortunately, I'm able to drive substantial amount of traffics to almost all of my websites.

My biggest problem is PROGRAMMING. It's really a touch nut to crack. I don't understand the language (it's like ailen language to me), it's difficult to talk with programmers. It really annoys the heck out of me.

Another problem is motivation.. at one point, I may be very fervent, full of energy, ready to kick asses. However, those "motivation" never last. After about 2 hours of doing it, I might be slacking.. wasting time on youtube videos, listening to music etc.

I hope to understand a little better on programming language and that I might also be able to kick away the bad habit of going to facebook, youtube and other entertainment sites while I'm focusing on getting projects done.

trying to understand why some people are willing to go to college or university to study a course for 2 - 5 years and spent thousands of hours writing and learning and sometimes spend thousands of dollars doing it

But when they try to create an income online with IM they get disheartened when they don`t see results and money in there bank after a couple of months or trying after a couple of months learning

Or they fail a couple of times and decide to throw in the towel

An online business is no different to an offline business it takes time and effort

Well, Im on my journey still to success. However, from my journey so far, some of the things I faced are related to setting up of the payment engine on the website. Now, I have a fair idea of how things work.

Second issue is getting targeted traffic to the website. It needs some work and experience to get in reasonable number of visitors ready to spend their time and money on your digital shoppe.

Third thing not listed above is management of resources. Either time, money or people. Its a challenge by itself. But its fun to do focussed multi processing.

I think being at Google's mercy is the thing I struggle with the most. Like it or not you *have* to rank well in organic listings, or spend huge amounts to garner decent traffic.

I think traffic generation is the most difficult part. Without the help of google, it becomes more difficult.

It's traffic generation without help from Google, followed by time management.

Initially at least it was 'where to start and what to do', I think they call it 'shiny object syndromme' around here. Then it was staying focused and not giving up. Now its just hurdles that you have to get over rather than the biggest problem youve ever faced. The biggest problem now in the current one.

For me the programming, technical aspects, billing setup while at times challenging have always been something quickly learned and overcome. The biggest challenge for me in all niches is consistent and quality traffic generation. Followed closely by the time factor.

"Having no much time for business."

I go to school, so i stay up late at night sometimes just to get my marketing chores in...

...then wake up groggy and discombobulated.
