Do I Violate Amazon.com's Affiliate Rules By Not Including The Term "Via Amazon.com"...

...Besides my "Check it Out" button that's linked to the products with my affiliate link?

I'm asking because a lot of Amazon sites that I've seen do that.

Thanks,

Jimmy

You don't need to have 'via amazon.com' or anything next to your affiate link. It's not against any rule. You can embed your affiliate link however you like - as an image, button, hyperlink text, etc.

That said, I do like to use a button that says 'buy from Amazon' or 'discount price Amazon'. It adds trust and lets your reader know they are going to be directed to a trusted site where they can buy the product you are promoting.

Also, just to note, you need to adentiy yourself as an Amazon affiliate somewhere on your site. I just place a small paragraph of text on my 'about us' page to say that I'm an Amazon affiliate and receive commission for any products purchased through the site.

Yes, it is now part of Amazon's TOS that you include a disclaimer identifying yourself as an Amazon associate. I personally like to add this to my site's footer, this way it's on every page within my website.
