Wordpress Autoresponder Plugin ?

Hey everyone , does anyone know a good Wordpress Autoresponder and newsletter plugin , or a php script that can be used in WP, paid or free as long as its good and has something along the line of these features:

  • Capture emails and export feature ( well obviously)
  • Welcome email after sign up (nothing if they are already signed up)
  • Email on action ( like when they download something specific or when they make a purchase)
  • Scheduled emails
  • Custom campaigns/profiles for multiple niche websites
I searched a lot on WF and Codecanyon and even though there are a lot of choices i dont know which one would be the best suited for me , i named some of the features id like it to have .

Thanks a ton

Is there a reason you want a plugin over a service like Aweber?

It is very easy to integrate Aweber or similar service with your wordpress blog.

On top of that they have a superb delivery rate and you won't suffer from any inbox/spam folder problems sending through their whitelisted servers which you might have when trying to manage through your own server via a plugin.

I didnt know that using plugin will make your mail go to spam directly, what i dont like with those services is that they are paid by number of subscribers. Which one do you suggest ?

Yeah, why not just use aweber? You are going to be able to hit more inboxes with a legitimate service, plus I believe they have a WP plugin.

Listen to what they are saying...just go get Aweber and don't mess with all the other stuff. I have tried it and it is not worth the hassle!

I use both Aweber and GetResponse. Over the past year or so I've been finding that GetResponse is gradually becoming my autoresponder of choice. More of my emails get through and I haven't liked using Aweber since they changed how you compose your emails.

Frankly, i dont have an idea how my email contacts will convert with CPA offers , since thats what i do mostly. Does any of them offer like a free trial for 500-1000 subscribers just to see if its worth paying for it monthly. Thx

Get Response offers a free 30 day trial .. no credit card needed. I think it is like a 250 member top out but you should know by then if it is a good roi for you.

I can tell you list traffic targeted to your cpa will work great if you understand how to market to them.

I always suggest Get Response but I also use my own domain for list.

Go to plugins and install. Type autoresponder in the search function.

You will see WP Autoresponder And Newsletter Plugin as a result. Install it .. activate it .. follow the instructions.

As long as you are not sending spammy emails you should have no problem building a list of a few thousand. Once they get to that point it is time to move them to a paid list as most host limit sending email to 500 an hour and a bigger list can take some time.

The plug in is double opt in and Get Response will clean the list and host it for you when ou need to transfer.

I definitely agree with the above that you'll get much better deliverability from a service provider rather than self hosted.

That said, I can say that the only free/self hosted mailing list manager I've seen successfully delivering to my own inbox is phpList: phplist.com : phpList : The world's most popular open source email campaign manager

Another option is MadMimi, who are used by some very well respected companies. They have a free plan where the deal is you can have 2,500 contacts and send 12,500 emails per month, but you don't get support. https://madmimi.com/

There is really no reason that you can't self host your own service. I believe deliverability issues with self hosting is just another one of those marketing myths. The only problem would be the limitations on the amount of mail you can send at any one time on a shared hosting server, along with a shared IP address.

Your best results would be to go VPS with a clean IP address. Graduate, as your list grows to sending through a SMTP service like Gmail, Mailjet, Amazon SES, etc.

Saying that, I'm presently using GetResponse with no complaints, but I hate the idea of giving up control to one of my most valuable assets, my mailing list. I use to run self hosted mailings on an in house server of more then 100K addresses with excellent results. I'm thinking of going back and trying out something like Sticky Worm Self-hosted Autoresponder They have a nice feature for importing GetResponse files.
