A drawback to wso postings...

If I see a wso, then later, I want to find it again, there's a flaw...

The copy is almost always all in an image -- which means, if I remember part of the copy, I cannot search based on that.

Maybe one strategy would be to add the *text* version of the copy after the image version.

Just a thought.

    That would double the length of your sales page. It comes down to your conversion, if you get more customers from your initial sales copy (Picture format) or customers which try to find it later. All comes down to testing in the end. You could always create a mixture, e.g the product title could be written in the search field so it is searchable or just remember the name.

    Wow that would make the copy so long and confusing having the same copy twice that i bet it would slash conversions..

    Not sure that this is such a good idea..

      If the text is posted in a later post it would serve the purpose without making the initial post too long.

        There's a simple solution to this problem. When you see a WSO that interests you, just subscribe to the thread. You can always set it to no notification, if you don't want to receive emails. Then when you decide that you want to purchase, you can easily find it in your subscribed threads.

        That's what I do and then periodically, I just go in and delete the old ones.

          Well, darn it Tina - you had to go and offer a solution and now we have nothing to talk about! LOL. Just kidding but it would be nice if WF added a simple, one-click favorites feature/icon. I often forget to subscribe to threads or WSO's.

    Even if you subscribe, there's no way to search within subscribed threads.

    One of the keys to making something *memorable* and *unique* is with graphics and copy that uses *unusual* turns of phrase. Certain words stick out in the mind. But, as I pointed out, making it memorable with *words* (searchable, unique words) does not help if those words are part of an image, and not text.

          I agree and that should be a standard feature of VBulletin however your original post is related to the sales copy, which as you know will always be post #1.

          There is. You search the titles with your eyes. They are all listed in the same place under your account. Even if you subscribe to 50 threads should be simple to find the one you need. Life requires a teeny wheeny bit of effort sometimes.

    That's why I always hold the thread title as being upmost important in putting in as many relevant keywords as you can for organic searches.

    Another idea is to put in your second post a 'tags:' at the bottom with all your relevant terms and phrases

    They often change the title (subject line) I remember seeing a wso with the word "banks" in the title.

    That stuck in my mind. Later I tried searching for it based on that unusual word -- could do it cuz they had changed the title (subject line).
