Lead Generation, Local Web Designer
Ive been invited to generate leads for a colleague of mine who provides local web design / seo / hosting services. Ive picked through the previous threads on lead gen, and also read many of RedShifted's posts, who I believe knows his stuff in this arena.
What are the possible methods for generating leads for a web designer? My initial thoughts were to put out some relevant, free content on Youtube - which goes to a squeeze page / free report / webform to capture either the enquiry or email address. As I'm familiar with Twitter, I was also thinking of combining TweetAdder with a human touch to generate leads that way. Geographic location of the client isn't important.
Other approaches:
- Offline, flyers / posters (can design and distribute these myself)
- Gumtree or Craigslist
- 'Cold' Emails
- Promos such as 'Free Google Places Listing'
- My own website has around 1000 uniques a day, banner on the site?
One thing Im not keen on is cold calling. Done a lot of it as a young adult, and I truly dislike it!! If there is a way to create an 'automated' funnel, Im very open to suggestions.
Look forward to hearing your ideas
