Are you intending to build a list in a separate venture from your offline business?
Or are you trying to capture leads for the offline business you already have?

I already use an autoresponder to pull leads from different sources but once I use the contact I do not continually market to them. I am creating my own IM product of everything I have learned about starting my business with all the ins and outs and tricks I have learned basically providing a shortcut for my customers. Since I will be doing this I would like to build a list out of it and continually provide quality content but make money from promoting as well. I would like to see someone else's experiences providing me with best content on this way of marketing..

I have only recently heard of Anthony Tilley so other then signing up for his list (Hey good way to see what the Man is all about). But Igor offers a very good book in the War Room.

But coming from an offline business and trying to move online, i think that you need to read several different books on the subject before moving along.

I have been build lists in a few different niches and have found what works in one niche might not work just the same in another. But at least you learn the basics on your first list.

Is your offline business something that you can build a list around as well?

      Good Luck

TroyCo you are asking all of the right questions. You understand the technology it sounds like, but now you need to communicate your knowledge to your potential customer in a way that is clear, concise and useful!

You might want to consider writing an e-book. It will do two things for you:

    1. It will clarify in your mind exactly what it is that you wish to share with your potential subscriber. It will also show you the gaps in your thinking/logic.

    2. You will have something to entice your subscriber to join you. Don't buy it, write it yourself. If your writing skills aren't that great, then hire a writer, but communicate your knowledge to them so that the information comes from you.

Then begin writing your auto-responder sequence. You will be able to deliver real value, and when you suggest your customer buys thing A or thing B, they will know the advice comes from someone knowledgeable and creditable.

    Good Luck!

All 3 current suggestions are good option for you to search the forum for.

Jason Parker is renowned for his list building expertise.

Igor Kheifets is known as the King of solo ads and supplies very responsive leads and traffic with his solos via his list building.

Anthony Tilley has a bestselling WSO on creating a solo ad business and how to build a list.

Take your pick depending on what suits your budget.

If you're looking for a course that teaches how to market effectively to your list then nothing comes even close to "autoresponder madness" by Andre Chapron. It is hands down the best purchase I've made since my inception into Internet marketing. The guy is a fricken genius when it comes to email marketing.

If you're looking for a course on how to build massive lists, then by all means try anything else, I've yet to see any useful ones that teach you how to build responsive lists that way.

Get started with aweber. They have a 30 day trial for only $1. It's a good opportunity to go in and mess around with their system while trying to get your product off the ground.
