What can I do with $4,740.15 to quit my job?

I need to do something drastic to quit my job. I'm sick and tried of being a 'corporate slave'.

Plus right now I'm so ill I can barely leave home or walk, yet I could do stuff at home on my computer. But because I'm a slave to my job, I can't be at home, I have to get well soon and get to work. I'm worried that one day it might not be that way.

So my question is.. What can I do with $4,740.15 that will enable me to start looking at getting out of my day job and working from home?

I'm not really sure what advice to give you. You've been around this forum for almost 4 years and made over 2500 posts...surely you've picked up some info along the way about making money online.

What have you been doing for the last 4 years to make money online? I'm guessing that hasn't worked, so maybe an alternative method would be better for you.

    Hi,

If I was in your shoes... I would create, or outsource, a high quality report (optin, with upsell), before using the money to purchase solo ads, etc, to build my list.

Of course I wouldn't dump all of that money into one solo provider, lol, you need to test with [much] smaller amounts first. Ideally, your sales funnel should be making a profit or, at least, paying for itself.

Then I would ask my list what kind of products/help they need, and go about finding and creating exactly what it is that they want to buy.

Is this speaking from experience or from literature. I will go on anything solid here. It's all or nothing this time.

To the guy above - XanBarksdale - yea I've been around. I've created this and that, I've made successes but overall I've never gotten a full time bite and that's what I'm going for now I've seen my health suffer at the hands of the 60 hour corporate haul.

Yes, the information is solid, though there are a lot of variables, and there are, of course, no guarantees that you will replace your income.

For instance; your initial sales funnel may not pay for itself, you may focus on the wrong niche, you may lack the skills for email marketing, and/or product creation. There will also be a learning curve when it comes to outsourcing (if you decide to go that way.)

None of these things are really a problem, but it all comes down your existing skills and aptitude. I suggested listbuilding because, done correctly, it is more of a slow, steady, and stable income, but with huge potential (especially if you are surveying your list.)

I also agree (in this case) with the comment above re taking a pay-cut. Are you able to minimise your expenses, and work part-time while you focus on your health and IM? I totally get how difficult it can be with an illness; I am recovering(?) from a brain-injury atm.

Really build a funnel with a good front end entry offer then have a high ticket upsell. Learn email marketing and apply. It really is simple. By the way that is experience talking and not literature.

This. I would focus on creating your own product and building a list. This way you can begin to profit and reinvest that money back into growing your business.

Well first I want to say that I think it's bad advice if anyone tells you to go ahead and quit your job with less than $5k in savings. It may not be what you want to hear, but you need to continue to keep working until you start to make a substantial income. If you have little or no income that $5k will be gone in a few months and then you'll have no savings, no job, and still very little money coming in online.

I hate to hear that about your health...hopefully things start to turn around soon!

Why not find a job that you will enjoy going to work everyday even if it means taking a pay cut? Then, continue to grow your online business until it can give you a full time income. That way you will at least still have some income every month, and a job you enjoy!

Ebay probably. Get some experience by selling some of the jewels in your house that you dont need/want anymore. Then after successfully getting sales, go into a niche, find a good supplier, and start making a name for yourself in your ebay niche.

I hate to break this to you Randall but eBay is not what it used to be, you make it sound simple but the days of small time sellers winging it on eBay are over.

Keeping your day job and researching are the key here! Turn your mind off of your job being permanent and make a plan. Whatever plan you make will work so long as you have the key of doing something each day that is a step in your plan. Focus on the positive (gratitude!) in every bit of every day. And pay close attention to your plan because it will change over time. And... for me! ... staying in prayer is critical. Don't know where you're at on that, but if you can? Ask God and open your heart to recognize answers from God to your prayer in every moment.

SOLID business model that is pretty flawless and very profitable.

Issue is you end up in circles of friends with no morals, no life, no goals and worst of all; dangerous.

Plus drugs are bad mmmkay. And if you don't believe me ask your mom and dad.

Well, I can't really give you any better advice than the other member already wrote.
But my simple advice would be, not to judge too fast and quit your job. If you see that your future work will be profitable over the long-term, go and quit your current job.

I find it funny. When I posted the question there was no intention to find a great overwhelming all problem solving answer.

But there was that thought of; where art those who claim you can get rich by buying a $37 product to reply and say, yea this works and all you need is $37.

I'm offering up more than 100X$37 and there's still no possibility to quit my job.

Lesson for noobs. Your $37 investment won't make you rich. Nor will my $4k investment.

That's because spending $37 on a product won't work. If you choose the right product and then implement it, you can make money. I quit my job last year to work from home and I didn't have $4000+ to get started. But I work hard.

I work at least 60 hours a week and I've found some areas where my skills and talents can make money for me. It's hard work, but at least I do have some flexibility.

Keep working and make a plan. What skills do you have? What are you passionate about? Take those and create a business model. I've tried out several things in the last 6 months and have finally settled into a plan that's working pretty well.

Get out of the buyer mindset, become a seller!

You need to sell "something" to make money online period. Sell a product or a service.
So go get/create that something & start selling it.

Pretty funny really. You're sitting around an IM forum where people hawk 'get rich quick' schemes but most people don't even think you can earn a full-time wage even with a $4k investment!

I think you should simplify your goal. Find a hot offer/promote it. ClickBank products pay HUGE commissions.

Use the 4K to buy leads (using PPC/coreg etc) and then email market to them. You have just as much chance as anyone of earning a full-time wage.

    $37 can make you rich...

The War Room costs $37 and if you can't find something in there that makes you money or something you can put a unique twist on and make money, it's a lost cause.

But here's the problem with a lot of people who struggle...

They can have all the knowledge in the world, but unless you apply it to something, and I mean REALLY apply it, beat the crap out of it, get committed, take action everyday, it's not going to get you anywhere.

Hell, some people have purchased Dan Kennedy's or even Tony Robbins books on Amazon for less than $20 and have gotten rich. It's all about buying into an idea then going all in...

So I agree, money has nothing to do with it...

This is the best advice in this thread, matey.

You could invest your money in outsourcing or perhaps even buying the digital rights to out of print books. There's a WSO coming up on that very thing soon (not mine I hasten to add.)

I agree with the majority of these posters. Mind me for saying this, but I think you are in a fortunate situation then most people. You have the ability to begin an income system without too much financial pressure behind you, the best place to start is creating content yourself.
You can initially start off writing reports curing problems that a particular audience is having, and then you can start escalting to doing videos and audios...
keep it simple if its your first time. You'll want to accumulate a buyers list...

I see that you've been doing this for years. Let me ask you a question, have you been chipping away at one specific business or did you jump around a lot with different projects during this time?

If it's the latter of the two, that could be the biggest reason you're seeing the results you have been.

Create a quality front end product + another related ones and make your sales funnel (OTO #1, OTO #2, OTO #3,...). Use some of your money to outsource the process if you don't want to do all yourself. Then spend your money on quality traffic. Build your list and create your back end sales funnel. Test, refine, improve your system and make money. Then reinvest some of your profit into new traffic sources. Enjoy your new life.
