    What format is it?
If its in windows format and you just want to put text on it (yoursite.com) then you might be able to get away with using Windows Movie Maker, which should already be installed on your windows computer.

Open the video in WMM, then on the bottom click "show Timeline", then drag your video into the timeline. Then click "Make Titles or Credits" in the let menu.
Type your url and hit enter a few times and it will make your text smaller. You can do a 50% transparency so your watermark shows but it doesnt block the video.
Then just Save to your computer and it should save it in .wmv format.

If you want something better I use VideoCharge, but I think it was $29 or so for it.

    hope this helps

If you've created the video yourself, use whichever editing package you're already familiar with and add a graphic (or text as mg100 pointed out) either with a reduced transparency, or as a lower-third graphic.

    Hope that helps.

      Hi again,
well thought that would be easy but no!

      here's the deal...........
I have never used wmm or made a video - I dont even do youtube!
I can not for the life of me work out how to even open it in wmm - I am playing it on media player at the mo.
I have tried to open it via the dvd drive and cant find another way to do it! are you available via skype to talk me through?
I can pay you if you like or any other info here would be just great

thanks so much - I see the other stuff you talk about but cant get the vid up to drag it anywhere!
      thanks in advance - Kymmy

I've done it once, using VidLogo, but I'm not sure if they still offer a free trial..
Anyway, the program turned out to be great, it's worth googling
        Hope, it will be helpful

This may not be of help in this case, but if you're using Camtasia they have a good watermarking feature. Future reference.
