I know how to create a Buy It Now button, but how do I make it so when a customer pays they're redirected to the download page?

Thanks

Alan

    Hi,

Once you are done filling out Part 1, go to part 3...

There it will ask for a successful payment URL.

    HTH

    Jamie

P.S. The successful payment URL should be a thank-you page
with the direct link to the download on it.

There's 2 customize options links on the page, one that looks like a link and one that doesn't. I kept clicking on the one that does look like a link, even tried with different browsers. Then I finally accidently used the one that doesn't look like a link. Duhhh.

Why do people "disguise" the hyperlinks and make it difficult to find?

      Anyway thanks guys.

I wouldn't do this option with PayPal. If you have a permanent page with your download link on it people can find this, without paying, and download for free. Your best option is using a third party to manage your downloads.

I use SmartDD, you can get a free trial to make sure you like it first, then it's something like $70 one off fee for the full version. It's really good for order tracking and follow up emails too.

I use DLGuard which makes it almost impossible to share the url or find it. But this is for someone that's just starting out and doesn't want to invest in software just yet. I suggested e-junkie.com and naming the folder, page and file name to random characters to make it more difficult to "find" them. Anyway well see what they decide, Paypal, e-junkie, etc.

      Thanks

I just started using e-junkie and so far, so good. You don't need to do anything at Paypal for it-other than having an existing Paypal account. When you add a product at e-junkie, you do the thank you email, etc, then get your button codes at e-junkie. I'm not very technical, so it took a little bit to figure it out. The first time at something is always the hardest!
But, now, it's easy, and cost effective.
