Ok, not really seeking Susan.
Actually, I really want to know where to find Solo Ads for my "niche"...dog supplies.
How do you go about finding reliable sources, I have no clue and I would love some input.

I recommend finding online businesses that sell dog products which has a place to add yourself as a subscriber. I you see they gather subscribers, contact them and see if they would be interested in having you advertise in their list.
You can also find these busiensses on blogs, and forums related to dogs.

Not sure if you looked into it, but safe-swaps.com is regarded as one of the best places to buy solos. Not sure if they have people with lists specific to your niche, but it'd be the place I'd start. Otherwise I think the previous comment is a good one - try to find bigger sites or forums where dog lovers gather and ask for marketing opportunities on their email lists / etc.

Where to find solo ads has already been mentioned. You can probably find dog related forums in one of these directories: http://www.Zetaboards.com and Message Boards and Forum Directory
