One way to make money as an affiliate...

Someone is running ads on CNN that piggy back on the brand name awareness of sites such as gotomypc.com and gotomeeting.com.

The ad says that a billionaire (I forget his name) searched the internet for the best work-at-home business he could find, so he could buy it or something and needs our help to make it his next billion-dollar business, at least that's the gist of the 'story'. (A good story always helps sell it, you know that, even if it's probably not true. How's anyone going to prove it?)

The ad tells you to go to goherenow.com. I got online and checked it out, expecting some type of work-at-home-typing-your-butt-off-for-hours-for-less-than-minimum-wage program.

But what came up was just a page with a bunch of links on it to other sites, work at home, a personals site, a law firm, nothing I could spot that had anything to do with what they said in the ad!

I thought, maybe I got it wrong, maybe it's not goherenow.com, so I changed it to gotherenow.com, to see what would come up.

Pretty much the same thing, another page of nothing but links to other sites, many of the very same links from the goherenow.com site.

Are they making any money? Who knows? Maybe. They have an advertising budget or they wouldn't have airtime for their ad, right?

They piggyback off a popular and well-advertised site (gotomeeting, gotomypc, etc) and use nothing but affiliate ads. Butt ugly and super simple sites with affiliate links that some people will probably click on.

Not to mention both sites are hosted by godaddy, which any Warrior worth his salt would know better than to do...

But it's an interesting business model anyone could replicate to make money as an affiliate.
