List building besides the IM niche

What are other great (opt in friendly) niches to build a list? I've heard the dating niche is good. I want to stay away from the competition and find a lucrative niche that is worth going after.

Any suggestions would be great.

There are tons of great niches, Ryan - but staying away from competition will be tough. Find your own voice that people can connect with, that's the key.

Start thinking more about where your passions and talents lie, and how you can tie those to a profitable niche. Health, Wealth and Happiness are all evergreen (though broad) niches.

It's going to be hard to find a niche that is "lucrative" with no competition. If there is money to be made, then there are people, like you, who want to be making the money from that niche.

Competition shows that there is money there already and saves you from having to research or creating products that nobody buys.

Look for a niche that there is already competition and see if there is something that you can offer that is different from the rest. Your USP (Unique Selling Proposition) will separate you enough so that you are not competing.

Yes the dating niche is very competitive but if you found a void that you could fill, you would be in the game. Like dating for blind Christians. Or finding a product in a niche that you could sell for cheaper than the others. Packaging a product in a new way. If there are only info books on "getting your ex back", create a series of audios or videos, or both.

Rather than spending your time trying to find the elusive hidden treasure niche that everyone else has missed, use that effort looking at what is already out there and how you can carve out a different presentation.

Then you have no competition. You become the only one doing what you do within the big market.

Ask yourself this: What really get's me off?

      Then ask: WHY?

When you can answer both of those questions you have your niche.

The reason is, you can make money at dang near anything. But because you're going to be doing this for years you might want to actually enjoy it. And if it's what gets you off, then you will naturally do everything in your business at a higher level.

This. If there is no competition in a niche, then there is probably no money to be made inside of that niche.

Pick a niche you are passionate about and then find your own voice. You are unique and the people in your niche are always looking for different solutions to their problems.

    1) No one is going to voluntarily tell you about a niche with no competition. That's a trade secret.

    2) You can build a list in any niche.

    3) Dating niche is one of the most competitive niches. You'd have to carve out a mini niche, but good luck with that.

There are many people who say that they will want get away from the competition. But I find it ironic because isn't all the money available in the most competitive markets? The main reason it is competitive because it is profitable.

You just need to find a niche that has keywords with low competition and high monthly searches. Personally, I would focus on the low hanging fruit and rank web 2.0 properties with long-tail keywords.

That being said, if people are searching for that niche, it will be profitable if done right. Good luck!

Windows Niche is getting popular nowadays , Check out forums about it, Do some research about what the peoples are hungry for,. Make a killer Info product to promote and design a squeeze page according to it.

Its a less compitative and hungry niche so its should work better for conversion.

It really doesn't matter what your 'passion' is, or what you love to do..

If there's no money it...forget it and move on, otherwise you'll spend your days banging your had again the wall trying to make some money with it.

There are so many niches, and sub-niche markets full of people who are looking for solutions to problems, and will pay to get a solution.

They'll be the easiest sales you'll ever make.

What do you mean 'opt-in friendly'??

That's going to be related to YOUR bribe, and YOUR squeeze page.

Conversion rate for sales beyond that is down to good products, with sales pages that convert!

To make a lot of money, you want to be somewhere that there is competition. Competition is good, as there is potentially plenty of money to be made.

Finding a niche with no competitors and lots of hungry buyers - if you find it let me know

basically all the niches can offer you the possibility to have an opt-in list. But be careful, to always have products to offer your list, so pick niches that have a lot of products to promote.

I would think that narrowly tailored consumer niches would make more money if there are enough advertisers targeting that subniche. Remember, you are herding traffic for advertisers so they don't have to.

Dating is a good niche if you want to pursue it, and you should also check the social media market, it is rife with people who are interested on products online. Check Facebook and Twitter for other list building opportunities.

I wouldn't avoid the competition but go right to it. There's nothing wrong with trying to take a little piece of the action in a competitive market. At least you know that there are buyers and sellers and people are accustomed to buying and are open to marketing.

However I've yet to find a market that was against opt ins and an email list. I think it just depends on how you market yourself and that opt in list. I have put newsletters together in very obscure markets with no problem at all.

I think you can find similar success as well.
