EMD Product name - How would you do it?

Was just having a nose about on the GKT and found a few exact product names that get a reasonable amount of searches, and they are available as EMD's too.

I know how effectively a product name search can convert, but I'm just wondering how best to set up a site for it. Do you think a one page website with an amazon link will cut it? I don't really want to spend much time on a really big site, as it's only a fairly cheap electrical item product (around the $60 mark). The competition in google is virtually none existent, so getting it to rank will be easy.

I usually make medium sized Amazon-type sites, but I'm looking for a less-fuss option here.

What about forwarding the domain to an affiliate link? Does that sort of thing even work?

Any advice appreciated.

Make sure the name isn't trademarked, or you'll get kicked out of the Amazon program.

There's a trademark search engine , it shouldn't be too hard to find in Google.

Ive been doing well with 1 page sites. I good long article 700+ words. Make sure you don't over optimise the content. Keep the keyword to just the title and description and maybe once or twice in the main body.

In regards to SEO, I wouldn't start any linking until the site has been up for a couple weeks. Then gradually build 1-2 links a day and after 4-6 weeks of that you can gradually increase linking to maybe 4-5 links a day. It can some times rank quickly or take 2-3 months, but doing it like this ensures your rankings stick and you wont get penalised by google as long as your links are diversified and of quality.
