Email opt-in, now what?

Hi folks,

I finally took the plunge and decided to go with Aweber, I have planted an email opt in on my side bar and a light box on my page. Would any of you mind signing up and letting me know what you think? You can unsubscribe after!

If you would be so kind.... acnecareadvice.com

Is my placement and wording ok?

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Thanks for your reply radhika, I have done this however I don't know exactly what I am looking for. I have heard that it is good to have a funnel however I am not to sure how to go about this?

    Signed up with no problems.

Had to wait a bit for the confirmation mail.

Looked in spam for it, but got a bit distracted as I am now approved for a 10.000 $ cash transfer and have "free access to local sluts".

I get a feeling that im missing out on a lot when I dont read my spam mail...

Your confirmation mail seem very polite.
That is probably a good thing.

    Cheers

Edit: Got the advice mail, which looks rather undiscombabulated. You should check with other mail clients, but yahoo show this one nicely.

Thanks for your feedback, so you find the email a little confusing, I understand what you mean. I shall get to work on this!

No - what I meant to say was that you html-mail has not been mangled noticebly by yahoo. Not necessarily true for other mail clients.

I have recently signed up with mail-chimp, but I am not extremely impressed with their system. Its cheaper than InfusionSoft for sure, but the way you make a mail-sequence in mailchimp is odd to say the least.

What was your considarations before signing up with www.awebber.com ?

Light Box looks good and pops up as soon as I get to your site. The opt-in on the side bar is good as well, perfect positioning to as it will be one of the first things they see when arriving to your site.

I would also get you a squeeze page made, From what I see your in the Acne Niche so I would definitely get you an Acne Rich Squeeze Page with the Sign up Box above the fold so people don't have to scroll down to put in their name and email address.

If you need any more tips simply PM me or the great people here at the WF will be glad to help.

Also one last thing, I would not have your light box pop up every single time someone visits your page as with some people that may annoy them, My Blog I have it pop up I think once every 5 days per person.

So for instance say you visit my blog, My light box would pop up offering a free Video and if you exit out of my light box then you yourself would not see it again until 5 days later... You can test or tweak how many times you want it to appear for your own website but for me 5 days seems to be the target for me.
