Display html in WP post

Can someone suggest a good plugin that allows you to display html code inside a post?

I tried it without a plugin, and can get to work just sometimes.

The plugins I found most were outdated. Perhaps Im searching for wrong thing.

I would just like to display some code readers can copy and paste.

    You can do that by default.

    If the HTML you are putting in is not working, there must be a problem with your code.

    Thanks Joe, got it working.

    Only problem though is the it appears in a text box with a long horizontal scroll line.
    It works but hoping now to fins a way to make it where maybe I can adjust the width of the box its in.

    It must be where you are placing the HTML code that is causing the issue. The HTML box on a post or page will just allow you to insert HTML code like any other HTML page. If it's getting inserted into a box then that likely has to do with your theme styles.

    If you have php also in the code then you will definitely need a plugin, otherwise you can add raw html.
