IM Blog Name decision, Help me select One from these Options

Hi Everyone,


I am going to build an internet marketing blog on which i will be looking to provide quality IM content. A part from internet marketing stuff i also wanted to focus on very important aspect of this business i.e motivation. Want to guide my audience how to avoid shiny object syndrome and just focus on basic things to generate results and stay motivated in process.

For now i have narrow downed to following options

1) IMLivingSmart.com (Containing "IM", "living smart" words which covers above metioned scope and relates to IM lifestyle)

2) UsmanFarhat.com (My Name)

3) Some other (In case you feel there is room for betterment and i should consider some other options also).


Thanks for your feedback, its very very important for me as i am going to invest time, resources and money building blog up so wanted to make sure that better choice is made.

    IMLivingSmart.com sounds great, and don't forget you can always brand your name inside the blog.

    So from my view you should definitely choose this one, and you better do it fast before someone else will grab it.

      I think a potential difficulty with imlivingsmart.com is that it's not immediately clear whether the first two letters are intended as an abbreviation of "internet marketing" or just a way if saying "I'm". (It's clear to us, perhaps, because we're aware of the context, but it won't be to everyone. I don't know whether that matters?).

      I'm wondering if it might benefit you to use an Isle of Man extension for your site, and register the name LivingSmart.im. I'm not confident about this one, either (partly because I know it's widely used by Instant Messaging businesses), and I offer it only as a tentative suggestion.

        Thanks Alexa. Great feedback as always. Actually i intentionaly chosed a name where "IM" may have dual significance. One for marketers and that is clear. And other you mentioned (I Am Living Smart) for non-marketers as i wanted to comunicate "Internet Marketing" as a choice or profession that can provide desired life style with the work in right direction.

        As first time visitors will be refferal traffic, so i was not concerned about typing mistake.

        Great idea though and i am reflecting on.

    I like the first but that's no secret because I am a brandable domain enthusiast. The only suggestion that I'm not sure I saw suggested was to use both domains, one as a personal blog for your readers to get a more personal view of you as a marketer/writer and the other where you will dish out your tips and advice.

    Either way you go your first domain choice is spot on with your market. Congrats on your new endeavor.
