Sales are an addiction?

I'll give you guys a little background on me, im 19 I invested everything i had into a business niche i had and for about 5 months it didnt pay off (only had a few sales). Well this week alone i have hit £200 in sales which is massive for me(baby steps ahha), I literally anticipate checking my email and seeing something else has sold. most of the time i check nothing else has been purchased but when something has been bought i get a buzz like a rush of excitement. Honestly I could see myself getting addicted to the feeling of success like this, I can already tell this will drive me. I love eCommerce at the moment, at this rate I will be able to leave my job within a few months and set up my second niche idea.

And its pretty much all thanks to you guys giving me advice, constructive critism and just general knowledge that is posted around the forum. Motivation is something else that this forum has provided me with, seeing other people make a success of themselves has literally driven me to want to improve myself, I'm off to uni next september. By them i am aiming to have at least 2 more niche website's setup and hopefully I'll be making enough to support me throughout my education!

Thanks for everything WarriorForum, you've literally changed my perception on making money online!

Yes, the fun factor of selling online never wears off.

However, you are going to start notice that people buy when you DON'T pay attention to your stats, your mobile phone, your email account. They buy when you're asleep. They buy when you're at the store, or out to dinner. They buy when your attention is 100% completely on something else.

That's the way it seems to work.

I'm not sure, in my case anyway, that it's sales that are the addiction (though I still remember the terrific buzz way back of my first sale) as much as overcoming any challenge that comes along - like when:

    - I had a profitable site loose it's Page 1 ranking when Google changed it's algo.

    - When, in the dark days of the mortgage foreclosures etc in the US dropped my affiliate sales dramatically.

I'm just fired up about overcoming challenges and the success that derives from doing it.

The way you use the word addictive could also be rendered as satisfying. I completely agree, we made our first sales online last week for $250 and that'll be enough to make me work on this for the rest of my life haha.

I think the sales addiction is metaphorical.
