Any "Copyscape" sites for images?

Hello,

When you buy a text from a writer, it is easy to check if it is really an original work by using sites like Copyscape and others. But what's about images? How can you be sure that the image or graphic somebody sells you has been really created by him exclusively for you and not simply taken from Google images?

Do you know some sites similar to Copyscape to check your image doesn't already appear somewhere else?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Dave,

The only thing that I know to do is to check TinEye.

They call it a "reverse image search" tool. You browse to, drag and drop, or upload a photo or image and TinEye shows where that same image can be found online (sometimes in hundreds of places.)

It's probably not what you are looking for exactly because you don't really know who owns the original copyright, but at least it can give you a clue as to other sites that are displaying an image.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

I knew Tineye but I didn't get great results with it. But thank you Steve.

Hope others can give us some similar sites.

You can do a very similar (to TinEye) search on Google images..... just click the camera icon in the search window.
