Are google reviews & google+ reviews the same?

Just a quick question. I feel kind of stupid asking this as it seems like a pretty obvious answer but a client asked me about this, so I want to ensure I give him the right answer...

When I google a local business, Google returns the business's info as well as how many reviews they have. I can also click to leave a review directly from here. Another way to leave a google review is I can visit their Google+ page directly.

So my question is, are both these reviews the same? If I go to a new business's Google+ page & leave a review, will I then see "1 review" displayed under the regular google listings, and vice versa?

I'm assuming they're exactly the same & there's no difference between the 2, but just want to make sure.

Thanks

Hi, the two may share some things in common, You do have to be logged into G+ to leave a review, however there may be a difference between leaving a review on G+ and the local business product, those two may not be linked in the search results unless you specifically search for those terms.

Either way anyone leaving a review has to use G+ as the login you can do some searches to be sure but we all know how quickly Google changes things, LOL
