About to run solo ads, need advice

I'm thinking of driving some traffic from solo ads to promote a site that makes forum marketing easier. I'm new to solo ads, here're my questions:

1) Should I direct the traffic to the home page Forum Marketing Made Easy or signup page: Forum Marketing Made Easy

2) If the traffic goes to the signup page, do I need to add a few sentences for better conversion. We also drive visitors to this page via other traffic sources.

3) Do solo ads work well for signup. We don't have squeeze page here.

    You do need a proper landing page i think with proper call to action, i dont even know what you want me to do when i land on it, definitely can be improved, go to the hire warriors section and talk to a good web designer and/ot programmer to help you out

      Thanks for the feedback. The call-to-action is on the home page. We drive traffic to the home via other sources, and the visitors will go to signup page once convinced. My concern is that visitors from the home page won't be happy if they see call-to-action on the signup page again. Maybe the option is to create a different signup page just for traffic from solo ads.

        You cannot be worried if the surfer is happy or not at that moment
        on my own experience i found better results, taking them step by step like a 5 year old, you have to realize many poeple are not tech savy like you and i, they have to see clearly whats the next step to be done to get to the place they want to go or to get the thing they want to get, just my two cents, cheers

    Yes you'll definitely need a better landing page.

    One that preferably follows the ATTENTION, INTEREST, DESIRE, ACTION concept (AIDA)

    You can gain attention (A) by including a headline that hooks the prospect - "Discover How To Make Your Forum Marketing Efforts Easier" is a very generic example.

    The interest (I) and desire (D) can come from a variety of things, but usually what works best is including some bullet points that express not only the features of your website, but more importantly, the benefits.

    NOTE: Features explain what your product/service is about - Benefits explain what it will do for your prospect.

    For example: "Forum marketing made easy" is a feature, now ask yourself "so what?" well because it, "saves you time and frustration" (your benefit).

    And finally, you need a call to action (A) on your landing page. Something that blatantly tells your prospect where and how to sign up in order to gain access to what you promised in your headline/bullets.

    An example would be "Enter your name and email below for instant access".

      Very well explained. I thought the email in solo ads will do the job for Attention and Interest.

    I don't wanna hurt your feelings or offend you, but that site isn't really a site. Or maybe I can say that it looks like a site from the 90's.

    I don't see any point in driving traffic to nowhere.

    My piece of advice is to advertise a business when there is such a business. You are not supposed to open the store before having goods and staff and an actual store, are you?

      Thanks for your honest observations. It's actually a sophisticated and advanced online tool (or software) that support every aspects of forum marketing. But visitors have to sign-up and create a project to see all those features. For instance, when it comes to find right forum sites, all articles suggest use "keyword forums", but this tool:

      1) ranks forum sites by number of related threads
      2) ranks forums by number of related threads.
      3) shows PR, traffic rank, page indexed for each site
      4) shows whether a site allow link-in-post or signature link
      5) shows traffic percentage by country for each site.

      There're lots of other useful features. visitors could be overwhelmed by too many stuff. That's the reason we have a very simple UI design. Apparently it doesn't do a good job to convey the message.

    Yeah i suggest you set up a regular opt in page.

    Also check with the solo provider and ask them what kind of offers
    they usually mail for with the best responses, ect

    Promote a Squeeze Page with a title like this:

    "Tired of Being BROKE? Break Bread with ADVANCED MARKETERS".

    And then, redirect to your forum registration page.

    Followup like a BEAST promoting your forum later.

    That's the surest way to victory.

    1. Choose or create a TOP NOTCH product you can promote.

    2. Set up landing page or squeeze page and title it so it relates to the
    paid offer you're going to promote.

    3. Drive solo ads to your squeeze page.

    4. As soon as someone enters their name into your squeeze page direct
    them to the closely related PAID OFFER you found or created yourself.

    5. Now you have them on your list and you can make sales right off the bat.

    Of course if you have an offer of your own, you get to keep all of the money
    made.

    But either way, it allows you to build your list and make sales at the same time.

      That's a good procedure. Would it make sense to drive traffic to content pages if visitors need more time to understand the benefits of a tool?

        Hi dejaone If you google the top twenty blogs, and have a look at what others in your niche are doing, it will give you more ideas to make your site successful, I have visited your site and it dose not make me want to explore, so perhaps it would be good to lok at the shop front before spending $$ on solos,whilst the content is good and your trying to help others, just take a little time and think what would make this more successful.

    Defiantly none of them ugly sorry just being honest use the three CCC's create your squeeze page, capture your leads, convert into sales keep it simple give people clarity and be congruent with all put together you'll succeed

    Both pages need to be re-done. Hire a copywriter here on WF, or find one on Fiverr. Solos can work for your item. I imagine you'll be using "safe-swaps"? There are many others, but this one sticks out in my mind. Alot of vendors only accepts free offers only - so you may have to lead people to your squeeze page. Test and see, and dont trust everybody on solo ad sites. Even alot of opt-ins and subscribers can be deceptive.

    Lots of good comments above should get you on the right track.
    Look at other similar sites, and btw, add images to your page. It's an ADD crowd out there and you have fractions of a second to grab (& hold) their attention!
