Which niche is the more profitable one? Which is more stable, reliable, and lasting (meaning in 10-20 years will it still be as profitable as it is today? Only ask because trends to change...)

  • Matter of preference and what do you have. I mean, both are evergreen. So there is really no right or wrong, it is how you manage them that counts.

I do not believe trends will change for them, they have both been consistant, the only reason they would change is, we would invent money trees and a pill to make everyone skinny.

  • I would say it's all based on what YOU prefer and know more about. IMO, it's tough to go about promoting an industry you know nothing about.

Both routes have a ton of demand and room to profit (no matter how saturated people say it is). But if you're more of an IM guy, I'd go the IM route.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Both of them are evergreen.
I don't think anyone would know what will be their trend in next 10-20 years.
If I had to choose among both of them, I would go for weight loss as people have always been and will always be concerned about their fitness & health.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Yes, as everyone already said, they are both EVERGREEN niches and will work 10 to 20 years from now until the end of time.

Everyone wants good health and more money.

    Which is more profitable?

BOTH... and it depends on you and how you plan to monetize.

Many people get into this mass competitive niches and make no money whatsoever. On the other hand, there are people who are passionate about a certain interest, they set up a business in a small, not so competitive niche, and make a ton of money in a small niche.

If you're in it ONLY for the money, you might be in for a long and frustrating route.

But if you've got some passions then I'd work in cultivating that and making that work first, if at all possible.

    • I would highly suggest as neither unless you know what you are doing. If you are inexperienced, why jump in with the sharks when you can learn to swim with the trout?
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • People can't tell if they still earn on 10-20 years.
It's a trend, and who knows whats trends in 10 years?

But right now i would say make money online, as you can use those people as your affiliates if you learn them how to manage a list etc, it requires work but in the last end i would say thats where the best profit are.

Right now i guess Health is a better trend, but its hard to keep earning there, as a lot of marketers still in that business, and got crazy amount of backlinks on their site taking almost every traffic source they can gather.

    • Both niches are evergreen as many have already said. But, no matter what niche you decide have a proven plan that works. Adding value to your niche marketplace should be your main focus. Make your readers become a fan of your blog or website, and the money will sure follow.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Everybody wants to look good and make loads of money. So both of them will always be of interest, but simply ask yourself what products you get to promote for each of them.
Weight loss pills, supplements, workout CDs won't make you that much money. On the other hand, if you talk to people about making money online, trading binaries, fooling the roulette, work at home systems - and you find a direct provider, not a network, your could get commissions of up to 200 dollars.
From my experience, make money has way more alternatives than weight loss. On the other hand, weight loss is more accessible and easy to affiliate to.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Both fit your Criteria, but it's not the niche thay makes you successful or created long term stability, is your marketing skills and how you run your business thay matters
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Both are great and evergreen niche, but crowded with competition, if you plan to diving in, make sure you are ready spend a good $$$ to get things going

or you have to be extremely smart to find new traffic source that is not yet saturated
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Both are great to earn money. And very difficult.

Choose on which subject you know best.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Weight loss is going to stay forever as long as people don't stop eating or a time comes when fat body is considered beautiful.

Make money online can change is someday the internet gets replaced by another medium. But as long as there are THINGS people will always want to buy them and want to make more money.

Both of them are top niches and a bit broad niche, too much competition (so much money to be made) + hungry audience. You can build a site on a sub niche which will work better since the internet is growing everyday.

  • I am puzzled... you are not a newbie, at least your statistics show that, so you must know a thing or two about marketing
Are you making some kind of research?
Anyways, the two markets are ever-ever-ever green and every business has its own phases and dies eventually. The question should be "How to find a way to hit those lucrative niches" .... If you find your USP which works - it will work long enough for you
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Both niches are evergreen. You just need to make it stand out from all the sites out there.

I agree with Clever7, MMO is far better. However, your marketing skills and passion are the ones that will make you money in a long run.

    • Weight Loss is a 'market'.

Make money online' is a 'market'

You've got to find the 'niches' within those markets and seek out prospect who a desperate for solutions to problems.

      For example..weight loss.

These are just a few of the searches being done by real people:

How to lose weight fast free weight loss
how to lose weight fast free weight loss diets

  • Weightloss has far more potential prospects plus they are not as familiar with the latest marketing tactics as many IM seekers are and I also notice the click thru rates are much higher along with the fact they tend to stay on my list longer
  • Which car is better, Lamborghini or Ferrari?
  • It's really up to what you practice more. I know some people who make a killing in the fitness industry (weight loss/muscle building), but I struggle to gain a single subscriber. I've been stuck at 123 for over a week, and have sold $0 of product.

However, I've build lists of 1,900 and had days where I've made $138 from one email to 300 subs in the make money niche. It took me a couple years to get there though.

I've only been doing fitness marketing for a couple months, so I have a lot to learn about how people respond to offers. If I could give any advice, I'd say to pick your favorite and run with it until you're successful.

There are PLENTY of people making great livings in either niche

    • The cool part about finding EVERGREEN niches is that you have the ability to really dive down deep into your own personal core interest and passion. Because the niches will be here for the long term, you can spend more time really developing your message to your specific market with the niche(s) as a whole.

You can begin creating one good unique offer, and use that offer over and over again for years to come. When you are in alignment with your purpose to create transformation, esp within one of these two niches, you will discover how simple it is to 'do-the-work-once' creating systems and just let them continue to run.
  • I personally have had more luck with the weight loss niche than with MMO niche. Somebody else might have a different experience though, and be able to promote offers to the MMO niche better than I can.

  • Which one do you have proven results for? Which one are you passionate the most about? Which one could you see writing about and creating your own products in even if you never made a dime?

Stop thinking about the money and look at the other things that make one market valid over another FOR YOU. The reason I'm saying this is because both of those markets are VERY competitive so you'll need time to 'cut your teeth' sort-of-speak and you'll be spending a lot of time researching your competition, etc.
  • Aren't those two markets overexploited ?

    • In brief, no.

I speak in terms of quality products hitting the market. There are never enough of those floating around

  • Which one are you more passionate about? Which one do you see yourself writing ever lasting topics about? Go with that
  • Most people think that they make money online niche is dying off because of all the saturation out there but the matter of the fact is that it never will because there are always new people from all over the world who get online for the first time and are looking to supplement their income.

New babies are born every single day and in 18 or so years, they will look for a home based business.

Whether online or offline, this niche will never run dry of prospects for your business.
  • I don't see one niche as more profitable or better than the other. They will both always be in demand and lucrative. One problem that you may run into with those two "niches" is that there is a lot of competition. Perhaps, you would consider narrowing down one of the two to something more specific.
  • The one you know the most about.

    • At this moment Make money online is better. But weight loss is not bad. I suggest go ahead; where you are most comfortable.

  • Why choose? I say go for the most evergreen niche of all:

Lose fat fast while making money online and in your sleep!

"Dear reader. I was once like you. I know the feeling. Depressed. Lacking the passion for life. Like you, I've tried all the 'lose weight quick methods' and none seemed to work, just one disappointment to another. Then I stumbled across JoeSchmoe's "Lose fat fast while making money online and in your sleep" system. The testimonials were compelling and besides, he offered a 100% money back guarantee. Let me tell you my friends, my life has changed from thatmoment on. Not only have I lost 45 pounds, I am literally printing money thanks to JoSchmoe's online techniques....I literally owe my life to JoeSchmoe..."

  • This is my observation 50% + are overweight and are looking to do something, MM0 less then 10% are looking. Both big niches but weight loss is bigger I think.
