I have a few plans for e-books which I am currently writing. I suppose my question is what would be the best way to start marketing them for little start up cost? Should I start with a free domain or is to unprofessional to go about it this way?

I understand the aspects of building a mailing list, capture pages, and articles promoting your content as well as offering free material with sign up to build interest and build your e-mail list at the same time. Only concern seems to be in the professionalism of the webpage/blog I will be using, start up cost, and driving traffic to your page.

I am familiar with SEO optimization but lack knowledge in paid advertisement online so should I start mostly by going for organic traffic from SEO and content? Just trying to get a new start not expecting anything to fantastic from the get go but would be nice to see progress.

Maybe I am just being over cautious?

Put it on your site and run some Adwords and Bing Ads PPC campaigns. You did say the best way to start marketing at a low cost... right?

If your intention is to make money rather than create a piece of art, you should probably stop writing now.

Finding a market to fit a finished product is much more difficult than researching the market first to determine what's selling and where your potential buyers hang out - and then creating a suitable product.

If you approach product creation the correct way by first researching your market, you'll also discover how best to contact your prospects in the most cost-effective manner.

Get affiliates on board and get them to do all the marketing for you. Offer 75-100% commission on the front end product then 50% on a OTO. Grow your list with quality buyers.

PPC is easy to learn, you can pick a good book on Kindle for cheap and be right in the game.

There are plenty of salespage templates available if you don't know how to create a site. Just choose one and you can even hire sombody here on the forum or on fiverr to do the work for you that you don't know how to do yourself.

I wouldn't go for a free site, just get a domain and hosting because as you said it will look more professional.

I would say if you know how to write good ebooks most of the hard work is already done. For the other work you can pay somebody and traffic can also be bought. Testing your funnel would be something you need to learn yourself as this is also crucial for your success.

    Good luck!

Use social media. There are many niche hashtags and niche FB groups. Use niche forums as well. With the right strategy, you only need to devote 2 hours or less daily in TARGETED efforts to generate traction. Of course, you need to tweak each element of your campaign for maximum conversion.

Hey there! Ya I'd say you can still get yourself going with little to no cost it's definitely possible in this business. You need to figure out what you'd like to do though, get organized and decide which ideas you want to move forward with! Like you said you need to build up first, so I say definitely use social marketing which is free without using their advertisement, you just need to build a page up slowly. You can figure it out, just write your ideas down and decide where you want to go, you got this
