Many of the successful people we see today were once ...

Failures.

Absolute, ignoble failures.

They were, in modern parlance, LOSERS.

That didn't stop them. They didn't give up. They didn't acquiesce.

They did try again. They did move forward. They did dig in.

From Abraham Lincoln to The Beatles, they lost and lost big.

Right before they won. BIG.

Watch this video and see if it doesn't make you try just one more time.

Because you should.

You're only inches from gold.

Be well and move forward boldly!

Have fun ... Tony.

    Great clip Tony!

    Very inspiring.

I've been thinking about failure quite a bit myself lately, both personal failures and in general. I've come to the conclusion that failures are something to be proud of. It means you tried, you gave it a go and discovered a way how not to do something but most importantly - you learned something! And it's this learning that propels you forward in life.

I've also discovered that the most successful people are the ones who have failed the most. That's because they've tried the most. They've been prepared to get up in the face of failure and keep going no matter what and that's why they're successful.

Yes, what you wrote is all true. I have found that some -- most? -- people take things too seriously. So, when they fail, they fail permanently. The successful tend to see life -- and business and ventures -- as a game. Thus, no failure is permanent; it's just a part of the game.

      Be well! And stay AWESOME!

True, we tend to see life as a game, and as such, don't go for the "get a stupid job, while you can, or you will end up on a street corner in winter selling pencils" mindset.

I would say that the ones that end up on the street, tried and gave up.

Life throws bad luck at you, especially when you are on the verge of success, eventhough some will dismiss that natural law.

Hmmm ... Pencil sales? I'm in! We can market them as "Reusable Zero-Gravity Writing Implements." I think NASA would be a buyer of 10,000 units, which would yield us a 30% GP. Ha!

Seriously ... I agree with you, especially for last sentence. It oftentimes looks the darkest right before the dawn.

It reminds me of a quote from Mario Andretti, the race car driver: "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Failures are just par for the course. I always keep in mind that I just need to win ONCE to wipe the slate clean of failures.

          THANKS!

Being on the streets right now ..i can tell you why people end up outside on the streets and stay there ..verses most who have a bad run and end up out for a week to a few months..

I got put out of business from what i was doing to make money .. the casinos work with the city and the cops .. to change the rules to put as many street performers out of business as they could ..took so many of the ways i was making money away.. i eventual ended up homeless .. and left Las Vegas ..used the last money i had to buy all the bus ticket a could afford and ended up somewhere .. i never was before .. where i didn't know anyone ..

I am searching and moving to try and find where to build the life i want ..it probably is not where i am now .. and once i figure where i want to go next(Hawaii) and what i will do when i get there ( sleep on the Beach) ..ill figure out how to get there( once i get a new suitcase and new cloths and money for a plane ticket ) ..

the biggest regret i have is that i didn't start moving around on this search 20 years ago..

I know the life i want to live .. and i have developed a good chunk of the knowledge and skills to live it and start building it .once i get where i want to build it..

most people get condition to living in a certain kind of environment as they grow up.. and even if they move.. will settle in to a similar environment .never really searching for the best environment for them ..

most people don't fail don't try.. they are sheep eating of the same crappy pasture .. unaware they can search for better pastures

You never heard of The Abraham Lincolns and the Copper-Plated Pennies? Egads, man! Where have you been? They tore down the house at Gettysburg and their tour of the southern United States left a path of annihilation in its wake. Unfortunately, they flubbed it big time at Ford's Theatre and broke up after that show.

    NASA, perhaps?

True, and you are welcome, but guess what then you get the big idea, then you still get failures and setbacks, but at least this time you are in the field hitting instead of being in the sidelines, or worse in the crowd.

Yes, pastures, l read about the majority of Victorians, in AU, who drive up to 2 hours a day in traffic, since they have to live in a rural area, so they can afford a house.

And also read about how waking up to an alarm clock shocks your heart into the fight or flight mode, or puts undue stress on it over time.

Glad that l am free of that crap!

there is a reason it is called an ALARM clock ..thankfully when i needed to set a clock i would wake up a few minutes before it went off .. the only times i was really alarmed .. where when the sound of the alarm melded into the dream so it was like 20 minutes before i woke up..

even once i am successfull .. a lot of people will not think i am by what i live in ..as long as i live in an area where the building code are not set up to cause high housing prices .. if i can get a good sized piece of land .. i will build a Garage and put a bathroom and kitchen and work office in it.. then buy a cheap fifth wheel oe bus type rv .. to live and sleep in ..and avoid having a mortgage .. then every time i want a better place to live.. buy a new RV and sell the old one ..

I want a fish pond and lots of fruit trees and a good sized garden .. sone ducks and chickens .. haha

when people give up on having a house or decent apartment..or the drugs and booze is more important than other bills.. they tend to get in bad situations for very long periods of time

Failing teaches us after all just as much as making mistakes do. These famous people prove that giving up is when we truly fail.
