    I am not from the 70's nor 80's but for me the best motivational song in the 80's is the "Girls just want to have fun" by Cyndi Lauper. from the background song to the lyrics is itself is saying that girls just wanted to enjoy being a their teenage year, dancing to clubs at night, expressing theirselves with their dance choreography.

      Sorry to hear that, 1989 was when great music started to go into Rap or what l like to call crap.

      The 90's it got its fangs in, and there was no letting go, present day we get the occasional brilliant song, but overall, ad-nausaum with pre-school lyrics just about covers it.

      The only songs I would consider motivational is good old fashion driving music. Certain rock groups make it easier to make a boring trip into a faster, less boring drive with the right beat. (just watch for the radar guns)

      If you want to promote motivational music to this tough crowd you may have to dig thru Jazz or some Classic music ( not into them ). To maybe get a comment here. Better yet why not create a thread in this section about saying "The Secret" is a fraud or Tony Robbins is the biggest fraud on Earth and give 3 reasons why! That may get you your desired thumbs up. This way you may actually see traffic to a thread instead of silence.

      (Note - Credit goes to Frank for the Tony Robbins is a fraud comment)

      Overall - a great song, but why is he attempting to take full credit for a song by Supertramp, when he was with Supertramp???

      Makes no sense - unless he's just taking credit for writing the lyrics. That said, it's still a Supertramp song.
