is having a value-focused mindset over a money-focused on vital to success in passive-income creation?

If your only focus is money, you won't have it for long... and if you do, what good is it?! You need people, experiences, and other joys in your life!

for sure. but to what degree to you integrate it into your business? does it work, practically, to compartmentalize and have value using your money but in making it just focus on making money?

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I get excited when I make money, but at the end of the day, my vehicle for success is money, not the person driving it!

So my personal focus on the internet is a bit different. I am freedom focused. My main goal is to live financially independent from the hive and maintain my livelihood without a job or a need to be at a desk or a register my whole life.

That is what keeps me going and makes me excited every time I get a sale!!

I think you need an even mix of the above two and more to become successful. Money is a good motivation but not a good right mindset to focus on, I personally think if you enjoy doing whatever it is your doing and be helpful to other.. money will eventually come!

In order to succeed in business value is king, and I'm not talking only on online business, it is king on business in general.

In order to make money that has got to be a trade, you're going to give something and the other person will give you money for that thing that will help her do something that she wants to do.

(Example: If i need to a place to live you're going to use your knowledge on the market and advise me on the best deal that I can get on house or you're going to use your knowledge to sell me the house; if I'm hungry and you know how to cook you can use your knowledge to feed me and I'll pay you for that; If i want to lose weight and you have lost weight yourself you can use your knowledge and experience to help me get where i want to get;...)

So value is all that we need to focus on.

I see a lot of people tryig to make money and they are the same people that later complain that they're not making any.

A mix of the two is essential (depending on who you are.)

If you're one of those people who thinks that being rich is evil and non-spiritual, then your best bet is to focus on creating value.

If however you have the intention of being financially successful, you can't not think of money. No matter what anyone tells you, you do have to focus somewhat on making money, because otherwise, you'll miss otherwise obvious opportunities to increase the amount of money coming in to your life.

If you only focus on money though, that basically just means you'll do anything to get it, and we wouldn't want that, would we?

Just look at the big value givers out there in the internet... Wikipedia, Wordpress, Google(!)... These projects started as something to give a way value and now are the most important foundations of the internet. None of those projects started on making money in the beginning.

Value brings money, money not always brings money.

This is an easy one my friend. The foundation of business is an exchange of value.

A business provides value (service) in exchange, most often, for money. If there is no value, or little value, there is no money, or very little money being exchanged (low sales).

Solution: Sell your market on the value your service or product brings to their life. Sell to your prospects the pain of not having your product or service. If your not selling, you're not likely communicating your value properly and your not likely focused on the deeper needs of the market.

Example, If you sold Gum, you might really be selling fresh breath. If you have fresh breath you are more attractive, you wont turn people off, you are easier to talk to, blah, blah, blah. and the opposite is true if they don't buy your gum.

Another example, if you sell a weight loss program or product you're really selling the benefits oflosing weight or the weight loss "transformation", such as being more attract to the opposite sex, being more healthy, living longer, being around for you kids etc.

Sell the "transformation" that your product or service provides, that is value.
