Have You Made A Public Declaration Lately?

I have found that public declarations are very powerful and effective in helping one keep fully committed to a goal whether in business or health. It is much harder to quit on something when you already told everyone else what you aim to do. With the internet, making public declarations are even easier than ever but of course, can backfire on you if you end up being a quitter.

Here's one of mine I made recently;

"I will do everything in my power and ability to NOT let go of my health and fitness, even as I start going through my middle age years."

What about you? Anybody else would like to make one?

    Have read about these in certain self help books and strongly believe in the use of them...

    I may put the method I use up here or create a blog, but I never get views or comments to anything I create or post online,so may not bother. At the moment I am working on my self, as there are 3 fields I want 2 major in;
    1 being to break free from religious manipulation and control (done to a point -pilled away from world church systems and denominations to a point, but still get called on by 1 insistent churchie), want to be financially free,and secure and non-dependent on welfare or government and hand outs.

    I am testing lots of top techniques that will work for me,delivering exactly what I need to achieve all I set myself, as I am a total procrastinator, lazy,un-driven,loser etc! Need the popularity or become known and recognized, that's my problem online.

    Nice! Let me make one of my own:

    "I will do everything in my power to be healthy, to be in good shape, and earn a decent amount of money, even as things are getting to be quite testy at times"

    Yes. I do all the time on Twitter and in videos and in publications.

    I see how public declarations would help. They'll hold you accountable and when people are watching, you tend to put more effort into whatever it is you're doing. I haven't made any public declarations, but hey, maybe I should.

    I have never made any public declaration but it sounds as a very good idea as it makes stay committed.

      I normally don't too much to people in my real life because I am pretty successful already and people are jealous and will gladly try to take you down a notch.

      I will make one here on this thread.

      I will do everything in my power to see this project through to completion and deliver the very best product I can.

    It really depends on who you make a declaration to. I make a declaration to my friends, but not my family. Why is this? Because my family has it SO INGRAINED in their own minds that Internet marketing is unrealistic, that making money is difficult, that there's all these potential negative factors and unrealistic expectations... The list goes on and on about that.

    Share with somebody who will support you, not with somebody who will contradict you in a misguided attempt to "ground you in reality". Those people who you love that do this aren't doing you any favors, they're crushing your dreams. Don't let them get to you, and be sure to find everything you possibly can to stay motivated and on an empowering track toward achieving your dreams.

    I read about this technique.

    Want to make that even more powerful?

    Make a bet with someone that if not accomplished, you will give them $XXXXXXXX.XX dollars (or whatever is valuable to you).

    THAT will get you going.
