Was flipping through some old cds today.
For those of you who don't know, Joe Malarkey
is absolutely hilarious.

And, you know... Brilliant.
Well, not brilliant, but... 90% of the people
who follow his advice, within 6 months, in
their jobs or career they have a definite...
Well... change.

Look up some of his stuff, it's time well spent.

  • You forgot me!

Oh, sorrry, I'm in Europe ...
  • Hey Mike - that's really good stuff. I enjoyed them - thanks for posting.

  • Thanks Mike. I like short videos like these that sum up exactly how I feel about continuous improvement and innovation :-)

  • Yeah, Joe Malarkey is so funny!!!

I have his "Worst Motivational Speaker in America" CD,
and I listened to it for the first time. For almost the
entire time, I thought my ribs were going to break,
    I was laughing so hard.

Then, in the last-- I don't even know if it was 2 minutes--
at the very end, he proved that he was not just a
very funny man. He is a freaking brilliant motivational speaker.

It's just one key idea-- but wow what a great and powerful
    way to present it!
  • I watched one of the videos and did not like these guys at all.

    That's just me.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Yeah he is not for everybody.
I'm just curious, what do you not like?
  • There's no such thing such as worst motivational speaker, I mean if not all people likes you it doesn't mean you're worst. It's just that you simply can't impress everyone.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • If you like Malarky, then you'll probably enjoy Zig Ziggler.

You may not roll on the floor, but he leaves you smiling, more confident, and loaded with useful wisdom!

    • It's the title of his speech, and the way he markets himself.
It's actually extremely clever and effective-- Everyone I know
who has listened to it comes away really understanding a
lesson they have learned long ago, but never really been
able to apply. It's really brilliant. 99% of the speech he
is cracking jokes about motivational speaking, and then in
the last-- what, maybe two minutes at most-- he just blows
your mind with useful awesomeness. Just one point, really,
but wow!, what a great take away!!

Yep, love Ziggy, seen him a million times. Last time was in the
Duct Tape Center in Tulsa... Sadly, after he hit his head, he repeats himself
a lot because of the short-term memory loss, but his daughter is awesome.

Anyway, I never got his "opportunity clock" haha, but I "grew-up" going to his
seminars, and spent a lot of time with Zig, Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, and
maybe half-a-dozen others in "Automobile University" as well as stalking
them from seminar to seminar. Oh! And perhaps my favorite, T. Harv Eker.

Anyway, Joe Malarkey was in a big stack of CD's that I collected over
the years but haven't listened to yet. I had some time and popped it in,
and I have to say he is the funniest "motivational" speaker that I have
ever heard... It's just the way he delivers it, really-- my kind of humor.
  • Very funny and a great way to lighten up about personal development :-)
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
