The "Time Value Scale"

Have you ever stopped to consider that no matter who you are, where you live, what you
do for an income or how you consume, a time value scale is working in your life.

Because we know our resources are limited (energy, time, knowledge) one must be in a perpetual state of choice based actions. The way the mind cuts to the chase on this critical issue of deciding is to create a time value scale. (consciously or unconsciously)

What is most important to us comes first to do and so on down the list. In this way the time value scale minimizes wasted energy while consolidating and hammering down the most valuable deeds we have to do to provide for our greatest sense of happiness.

I don't find this to be universally correct though (after all what is universal?) Ideally, this would be the case where we naturally prioritize correctly, but even things that are consciously important to us we can push down and delay (or worse, ignore altogether.) Fear of failure, rejection, and many other things can disrupt our scale.
