learning curve
my family figured that i would get better at thing if they forced me too do things i really had no desire to do or get better at doing.. then point out how terrible i was at doing them.. and when i refused to do it at the all out.. i was called a lazy worthless yada yada..
i didn't have a fair of failure i had an expectation of failure because i didn't have an environment where i can learn even starting out doing stuff bad..but progressively working to get better ..which is the way you learn naturally .
the last three years as i have been stuck with the job of taking care of my elderly parents ..spending 4-8 hours a day wearing myself out 7 days a week ...for no money . ..the only thing i get is my parent pointing out what they think i am not doing right ..and the rest of my sibling trickle in and chime in on what i am not doing right..as the do nothing to help.
well even though i have gotten no monetary reward from this.. there several long term benifits from this once i get out of it..very soon ..
first lesson.. i ain't listening to know ones opinion on what i am doing..unless they are A , paying me money, b..telling me ways i can do it better.. or both
second lesson ..i have learned how i learn and what drives me to get better..and that .it is that process of progress that builds self confidence .
third lesson ..put the hard work into setting up a system ..so that it is not a lot of hard work to keep it going .
modern work ethic seem to be to build things with as little cost and effort as possible .. so you create work for people to do maintaining it ..when lawns first came into being..it was basical large estates where sheep grazes the lawns and produced milk ,wool and meat . now we use mor fuel to cut lawns and haul the clipping to dumps ..than we use to grow many crops and think of all the man hours
measure results .. observe what those with better results are doing.. adjust what you are doing.. measure new results .
understand the progress curve ..
