You're Wrong...Deal With It
Jim's reply?
"Oh it's definitely...<fill in the blank>"
Right?
Wrong?
Who's to say?
This is what I do know simply because of the fact that we are all human
beings. Well, some of us are more human than others.
Nobody is perfect. At some point in our lives, no matter how smart we
are, no matter how educated we are, no matter how experienced we
are...
We are going to be wrong about something.
You can take that to the bank.
Everybody here who has never been wrong about something please raise
your hand.
The key is recognizing when you're wrong, what you were wrong about,
and doing something about it.
This is harder than you think for so many people.
Why?
Pride. Admitting you're wrong is one of the hardest things in the world
for anybody to do. It's probably why we see half the arguments that we
do at this and many other forums. Pride is a killer.
And make no mistake about it...I'm as guilty as the next one.
But here's what happens when we let pride get in our way and refuse to
admit when we might be wrong.
We don't fix what's wrong with problem, whatever that problem is. We
continue to make the same stupid mistakes over and over.
On a higher level, we don't grow as a human being because we allow
ourselves to be stuck in that same stupid mode of "I'm proud, therefore I
must be right."
Okay, so how do we fix this problem?
I don't have a definitive answer for that question because everybody is
different and responds to different things.
But here are some suggestions.
Listen to those with more experience. There are a few members at this
forum like Paul Myers and John Taylor who have been around the block
more than a few times. They just might be able to point out something
to you that you need to hear...whether you like it or not.
Test your theory. If you're so sure you're right, test it out. See if it REALLY
works all that well. If it doesn't and you continue to insist that it's the
right way to go, then you have a much more serious problem than you
realize.
Look to see what other people are doing. If 100 affiliate marketers are
using system A and making money doing it and you're using system B and
not making any money, isn't it quite possible that system A doesn't work?
In other words, use a little common sense.
But please...don't expect to be right every time.
Recognizing when you're wrong and fixing the problem is what's going to
ultimately bring you closer to the success that you're looking for.
In other words...don't bury you're head in the sand.
You're wrong...Deal with it.
