Ive hit a brick wall with Trumpia (they listed some other company in my contact form and wont help us with big clients.) and am considering changing platforms. Avid and Lime are both attractive options. I see many in this thread singing Limes praises but in a long-term price comparison Lime cost $700 more a month with 100 customers on average that Avid. Worth it if they are amazing but not if its near identical.

Really found this thread valuable - read each post. Lime have just announced their availability in UK. I've just applied for a demo account. Thanks all. |

You may have either incorrect or outdated info on Lime... What are you basing a $700 price spread between the two on?

Hi all, I went with avid because of the superior training. I have talked with Rob a few times and have a good feeling about the company. They were also more affordable. |

For Premium Services: Cost to start Avid $448, Lime $497 Cost per month Avid $249, Lime $497 ($197 per month plus $300 in credits) Base Cost Per Year Avid $2988, Lime $5964 *Note that Lime includes 30k messages in these plans and Avid does not. However, I feel personally... why buy inventory your not going to use? Especially if you are just getting started it may take you 6 months to get to 35k messages a month. Avid you pay for message credits as you use them. Avid costs 1.2 cents per message up to 30k then drops more and more depending on volume, Lime costs 1 cent. Avid includes unlimited keywords, Lime is 5 free keywords per account and then $2 each additional. Both also add $4 per account. So where I get about a $700 guesstimated difference is at about 100 customers since we often see demand for 8 to 10 keywords in who we target: (Monthly Cost + Message Cost + $4 Per Account) Avid's Cost Per 50 Customers @ 500 msg per mo / 8 Keywords $749 Lime's Cost Per 50 Customers @ 500 msg per mo / 8 Keywords $993 Avid's Cost Per 100 Customers @ 500 msg per mo / 8 Keywords $1149 Lime's Cost Per 100 Customers @ 500 msg per mo / 8 Keywords $1697 I see that while just talking messages Lime has a great deal if you don't mind buying into 30k credits minimum a month. The biggest difference is the keyword cost and practical experience. I like that I can offer my clients unlimited keywords at no additional charge if I go Avid. They seem to really know how to sell mobile marketing and they know what actual issues and problems can arise. They aren't just teaching you a system then telling you to go out there based on what "the books and gurus" say in a video. This is all based on the white-label info PDF's they have on their websites. I think after proofreading my own post I can tell where we will go.

Hi, just wanted to chime in here real quick. I have been with Avid for about a month. I was totally new to SMS and it was a real learning curve at avid due to their training videos and materials. Its not categorized and sort of jumps from subject to subject. I am still studying and hope to launch soon once my app store is created. Good luck with whoever you choose. All in all I think I will stick with Avid and see what happens.

Lime contacted me and straightened me out on something so I wanted to mention it here. At premium they DO have unlimited keywords included. Sorry about the misinformation about that in my earlier post. My Bad. So now it boils down essentially to.. Real World Experience vs. Research Sourced Training from what I understand. |

What I don't like about Lime's shortcode, is when you text in "Help", it replies with: "Lime Cellular Help:[...]" It is not fully white label, and I don't want my clients to know about Lime Cellular. How is Avid on this side? Is it more white-label-ish? Thanks |

Has anyone here pushed significant volume with either Lime or Avid? Used the API? Would appreciate some feedback from anyone that's built a very large list on either of these platforms. Thanks!

I wonder if there is anyway to change this because that would defeat the whole purpose of a whitelabel. If rep from Lime can chime in that would be helpful.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our developers are working on a feature that will allow you to do a custom HELP message that will show the white label company name and a toll free number
