A search functionality in mobile site

Hello,
I'm searching for solution (plugin?) how to implement a search functionality in mobile site. The site are created on WP. I think the solution like that should be in directory site (searching by area or by industry), in real estate or car dealer's sites.

I think you are going to need a little custom programming for something like that.

with EzMobileSiteGenerator, you can add the search function to your mobile site, and I think it can be integrated with wordpress sites...

I believe WillR is right. You may be able to start with a pre fab app, but I think you'd need a little custom programming to really integrate it and make it look native to your site.

Is the search box just for searching your website? I confess I do not know much about mobile or mobile sites. I have a few local business sites that have a plugin, WPtouch so the site will look ok on all those smartphones. In the settings section there is a box to check:

Enable Search link in the header

"This will add a 'Search' item in the WPtouch sub header.
It will display an overlay on the title area allowing users to search your website."
