May not be called iPhone 6, but you'd be silly to think that the next version of their phone wasn't coming. What else do they have in their chest that sells so well? iPhone is what saved Apple or at least made it what it is today, at least stock price wise.

MacWorld in SF ( march ) is where they often launch ( more like announce )new products for the year. They wouldn't be released or for sale until September at the earliest. They are running out of letters to use for the 5 ..... ..... sorry. So I would expect them to launch the 6 this year as Samsung is killing it with sales and they need to keep pace. If Steve J. was still around you could bank on it ....... however now........ it is just a rumor . I really can't see how they can keep selling the 5 for much longer......

I hope it's not as big as the android monstrosities. I get weak at the knees laughing whenever I see people trying to use those massive over sized novelty phones. If I wanted to carry around something that massive I'd carry an iPad around. I hope this trend towards hilariously massive phones is very short lived.

Pre Ipad I would have agreed with you, but actually, the tablet business is equally as successful (if not faster growing) than the iPhone business in many ways.

It's clear at this point that computing will largely be a mobile based activity henceforth, whether that be on a phone or tablet. Apple's problem - though they are some of the world's most profitable consumer products obviously - is allocating resource and attention to each business.

FWIW, I think they'll release both new tablets and phones this year at some point which is why I'm waiting like many others before upgrading. It's worth thinking about Moore's Law in this respect; many argue that hardware innovation is flat-lining and improvements are becoming increasingly incremental.

There's no doubt that they will release a new iPhone 6 but my guess it will be out in the market on the last 3rd or last quarter. Hopefully they can add more feature on it.

I'm guesstimating that it will be pushed in Fall because I bought the iphone5 a little over one year ago when it first came out and that is around the time my 2 year contract is going to be renewed so I assume it would be right around that time!

We were all expecting great changes from iPhone 4 to 4s or 5, and nothing too exciting happened (same for iPhone 5s).

I think this will be the year of SONY when it comes to smartphones. Search for Sony Xperia Z2 vs Samsung Galaxy S5 on YouTube and look at the comments bellow the videos. The Xperia is the choice for most of the users. Many of them even admit they will replace their Samsung phone with Sony.
