Wow, video just came out on the police officer who shot 8 times in the back of a fleeing unarmed man.
The Officer is getting charged with Murder today.

As much as I roll my eyes at social media and technology sometimes, we couldn't find and convict these Murderous criminals if it wasn't without it

The officer was putting on a show after he fired screaming at Walter to put his hands behind his back when he was clearly already disabled or dead. SMH

He wasn't putting on a show. Nothing is clear when this sort of thing happens. Police are trained to do this, including handcuffing. What if the suspect (for lack of a better term) had a gun in his hand underneath him? Wouldn't be the first time. And, as is obvious, there were bystanders in the area who could have become targets.

And just so some of you idiots don't pounce on me for not pronouncing judgement on the basis of a poorly-shot video, if the cop didn't have damn good justification for what he did, he belongs in prison just like any other thug.

and there lieth the rub......the video isn't that poorly shot and it clearly shows an intent to kill a fleeing man...CLEARLY....yet there is still a segment of the populace willing to give so much benefit of the doubt to police officers even with CLEAR evidence that only when the police agree is it okay to say the evidence is clear.

That in itself creates a setup for these kinds of situations. This cop clearly thought he had a good shot (no pun intended) at getting away with it and for very good reason.

Consider that an autopsy would have shown several shots in the back and NOT at close range and you begin to see the incredibly burden you have to show to get a corrupt cop. No close up clear video and this one goes under some justifiable argument.

I think this is another time where you may want to withhold judgement until all the facts are in. As the man starts to run away, taser wires can be seen. When the video picks up the man and the policeman, some kind of altercation has just taken place.

There are a lot of unanswered questions here so far, but it sure doesn't look like deadly force was warranted, that's for sure.

AND, having just seen this: https://vimeo.com/124359918 it sounds like it was a pretty open-and-shut investigation to have been completed within just a few days, aided by the video. Good for them.

Another example of why video cams on police and in their cars should be required, with no option of turning them off. If the person taking this video hadn't been there and the recording didn't exist, this might not have turned out as it did.
