No it's called advertising... You could always turn off your computer.

The leader board ad bothers you so much you actually posted about it??

You might want to see a professional of some sort. That's definitely a major concern.

Asking if there is a way to block the forum banner ads is a "major concern" is it? lol
I could probably have a field day going through your posts.

Every time I get sick and tired of seeing ads of any type, whether on the WF, other forums and blogs, radio commercials, TV commercials, ads in magazines, etc. I simply take out my frustration by punching my heavy punching bag filled with sand for approximately 2 or 3 hours until I am completely exhausted.

I usually feel much better afterwards.

AND his have been the only two at times. It might be a good idea to observe and even study them.

    He either has...

A ton of money to spend on ads (he does). AND/OR he could have a "deal" with WF.

Or, he is getting a ton of traffic from here, so it is a good place for that type of offer to be advertised...

So, I like to check and see who is advertising, WHAT...ask myself WHY here...and if it goes on for a month or longer, what type of copy appeals to the thousands of Warriors who see the ads every month.

In other words, I find it a good and FREE opportunity to learn a little of what a successful IM'er does...(like him or hate him, he does know IM).

I'd rather have software which would allow me to block all the posters I disregard anyhow.

      A very good point.

The day you are annoyed over advertising here in this forums when you are an Internet Marketer is the day it should dawn on you that you think like a consumer and not as a marketer.
Ie, you are on the wrong side of the table.

        Right.

As time goes on, I find myself looking at ads in different mediums, both online and offline (especially in offline magazines and TV commercials) and asking myself "what can I learn from this ? what do I like about the ad ? is it repeated for week after week or month after month ?"

This is the mindset I am trying to develop ; the mindset of a marketer / advertiser and not that of a consumer.

Simple solution - use FireFox as your browser with AdBlock Plus. The banner ads won't show up, and you can stop starting useless threads like this one.

        Hi,

I use adblock by default so I had to turn it off for a moment because I was intrigued to see what the fuss was about.

Now I have seen his mug once I am happy to permanently block it and understand why you found it so annoying in the first place.

        Au Revoir Russell.

Yes, good but not everyones style!

I usually go to Youtube and see what 20+ years olds have cooked up, in regards to taking the p*** out of some dumb ad's.

          Some are very funny!

If that doesn't do the trick then doing one myself usually does wonders for my mental state, as well as the original creators seeing it, and usually banning it, til l dispute it under common law.

They may not like me turning their B grade show into a joke, but having to tolerate it isn't a laughing matter either.

Brunson and Deiss should be required to provide written versions of their videos.
And their VSLs should have a mandatory pause feature.

I occasionally throw one in when doing his scripts but he's only paying the minimum rates. I keep the best ones for Kurt & Riffle who are paying up the kazoo.

Show them a photo of Dan Riffle. That should turn anything off. It certainly works on me.

Yes, there is. I use both Noscript and Ghostery. They remove a lot of scripts including the banner ad at the top of the forum and the Hello Bar that makes the forum hang up a lot and the social media crap at the side and all trackers that want to track you and follow you around the Internet and a lot of ads.

I'm guessing that it's here because there is advice on how to get around WF ads. Rather than delete the post, they just moved it to the "back room" where the suckers won't see it.

I think when you come here you just need to accept that faces and names associated with get rich quick schemes are going to be featured prominently. A huge segment of this forum is really into buying that kind of thing.

You also have to accept the fact that the forums are going to continuously cater to people's get rich schemes as long as they keep shelling out advertising money.

They don't care if the person is a known scammer or not.

As long as the money just rolls in.

Sounds like this forum's fate is sealed.
