Geeesh ... this looks like a sugar coma waiting to happen and looks pretty disgusting to eat, IMO, but I guess some people would eat this. Would you? See the whole collection at the link below.

New Yorkers are going crazy over these shakes - Business Insider

  • It seems like too much of that sugar stuff they put on crappy birthday cakes, not sure what it's called.

I like sweet things, but that doesn't look appealing at all.

    • Looks like a sugar coma waiting to happen - and in the state that tries to ban things like large sodas??? Look like they'd be fun to put together, though.

Give me a plain old chocolate milkshake and I'll be perfectly fine.

    • I would eat some of it, and ditch the lollypop, and the other flower type stuff.

But not crazy about spiders, (that is what we call, lemonade with icecream drinks, here).

I think that if they did one with jam donuts, that would take care of Princesses last meal request?

A chocolate one, would do me in!

  • a) "New Yorkers" go bonkers for any thing exclusive and/or in the know. Now that business insider put it out to the masses, the parvenu will descend on the place, keeping them going for a few years, but the "New Yorkers" who blew it ip in the first place are already off to the next exclusive thing.

    b) The whole point is to over pay for some artsy food thing just because you can. Eating it is really secondary. The sell boatloads of "edible arrangements" here... basically melons cut into flowery shapes, skewered, and make into a goofy edible bouquet. Why? because why eat a $2 melon, when you can get gourmet arrangement for $40, that's why. Because I'm rich bi***, that's why. lol

    c) Looks like the dominant flavor is sky blue. I don't know what that even is, so it doesn't really appeal to me.

    d) But a peanut butter banana one is probably pretty good. Once you toss the hard candy and all that moussy stuff on top. At which point why bother.

    e) DQ FTW.

    f) from what I've seen, Business Insider is about the poster child for the "you get what you asked for" end result of the "we don't want mainstream media with all their editors and professional journalists, we want blogs, we want the voice of the common idiots, um, I mean people". Go democracy. yay.

But business insider didn't invent the monstrosities. They only pointed to them, when no one else dared. lol.

They don't have just the blue ... check the link. There's a Christmas one, a Halloween one, a Mets one, a Smores one, a Caramel Apple one, a pink breast cancer awareness one ... and more, all equally crazy looking and way too much of everything.

  • Looks like too much sugar for me. I like the icing off a birthday cake but I wouldn't want that much sugar.

  • If the subject of this thread were a game show, American contestants would never lose.

Announcer: "Tiffany, you nibbled through the appetizer round. You absolutely demolished the entree chowdown showdown. You broke the show record in the speed dessert horking challenge. Now you're at a crossroads. You can either stop here and take the lifetime supply of Rice-a-Roni OR you can move on to the Buffet Blitz. Tiffany, one last time: WOULD. YOU. EAT. THIS?!?!?!?!?

    Tiffany: "Yammy."

  • I like it the way it is, don't want to destroy it for my love of sweets.

  • Eat it?

I'd put it on a pedestal, worship it, profess undying love for it and then ......... yeah, I'd eat it.

    • Hey, I figure we put me on a pedestal, way up high.

That way, I can bunjee off an' aim my face at this gorgeous creature —

      SPLATTO!

      — an' come back for more, again an' again an' again —

      SPLATTO!

      SPLATTO!

      SPLATTO!

  • hehe I resisted clicking on this thread link for a while but caved this morning. Great clickbait headline!

And yes, if I wasn't lactose intolerant, I'd eat that.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I couldn't eat that if I wanted to. And I don't. Not only because I try to keep to organic health foods as much as possible..........but - that much sugar would make me royally sick to my stomach. A little cake - okay - a shake okay - but add all that other stuff (skip the peanut butter - I'm deadly allergic) would have me praying to the porcelain if I tried to eat it all. I like sweets, but not really, really sweet ones. I'll stick to white cake, sugar cookies, and cheesecake as my main tormentors.
