Not sure why I'm posting this here, but I just discovered that my wife had military training in the past. I didn't have a clue, lol.

Yeah, that occurred to me when it was too late.

(Did you hear about that Coors beer ad that mentioned people from Toronto? "Colder Than Most People From Toronto.")

You know that eventually someone will come along and ask, so I might as well cut to the chase.

      How did you find out?

Did she have to put you back in check?

      just kidding

We were watching an action flick and she got annoyed by how they were shooting guns in a scene and I said, "How would you know? It's not like you ever shot a gun before."

How would YOU know if she ever shot a gun before? I shot my first gun when I was like 6 or 7! And I bet PLENTY of women have shot guns without being in the miltary! Did YOU know that in about the 19th century they made special guns JUST for women! They could look all pretty and all and apparently not have room to hold ANYTHING, but STILL have a loaded gun.

What did she complain about though?

            Definitely a foolish assumption.

(Can't say I'm too big on guns, ever since having a bullet lodged in my neck for two days c/o an overly vigilant paisono.)

I've seen those pretty guns made for women before, lol.

The way they were being held and how they were shooting. That's movies for you. If I happen to have a bit of knowledge about anything and see it in a movie, the movie will have it wrong 90% of the time.

Could be worse. She might have told you she had military training in the past.... when her name was 'Peter.'

That would certainly be very freaky and frightening, Zeus66 (especially considering that she's expecting ).

LOL! If it was me, I'd double-check... just to be sure...

That said, I still don't know everything my better-half did before I met her either. I don't think it could be considered particularly unusual not to know everything about your spouse's past, especially if they work, or worked, in a military or law-enforcement field.

        Tommy.

P.S. - Try running at her suddenly with a large knife and see what she does. If you have at least half-a-dozen broken bones before you hit the ground, you'll know she probably has a very good reason for not telling you.

Would that be military training as in a one-day workshop... or as in a top-secret six month sniper training program?

Don't ask me why, but I think the women are even supposed to learn to shoot. They really aren't supposed to be on the front lines though.

Anyway, shooting is more than 1 day.

WHO KNOWS about the sniper deal. Again, they aren't SUPPOSED to be there, but who knows?

Real actual military training/service. Not top secret though (as far as I know).
